its a great distortion/feedback machine :hihi:
Same here! It doesn’t work very well as a talk box because it can’t put out a high enough level before it starts to distort severely. But as a distortion box with feedback, it’s brilliant!
Incomplete list of my gear: 1/8" audio input jack.

Same can be said of The Sitar Swami....makes some cool scuzzy fuzzy sounds but
Sitar aint one of 'em. Now the Back Talk from that series.....goes for ridiculous $.
Cool that they got smart and re-issued it. I like the smaller footprint. Still a little
pricey tho.

Built my first pedal kit \o/

Uraltone Blue Box https://en.uraltone.com/kits/effect-ped ... y-kit.html

Sounds great but would really help if I could play already. Did a booboo with the enclosure (should have used a faceplate), but since the paintjob turned out pretty sweet, I'll just reuse for some other pedal that has three pots. Was tons of fun, tomorrow I'll build their Big Muff clone

Interesting finish on the artwork, very nice! How was it achieved?

It's copper metallic rattle can sprayed thru a stencil, from about 30cm away to get a grainier finish (spraying from distance means the paint starts drying in air, something you don't normally want). That potato photo doesn't do it much justice, it's very glittery and rough to the touch.

That's pretty fine work on the stencil, is that a laser cut or is this doable with a steady hand and a scalpel?

Unfortunately my knifework is not quite up to that level of detail, it's a commercial stencil I bought from a hobby store!

The Big Muff clone will feature original artwork, but it'll be a much simpler design that can be cut out with an exacto, dont have a printer :(

This kit and enclosure apparently came with the option to add a second footswitch for tone stack bypass, but not with the actual parts to do that... but the hole is already there. I couldn't wait until next week to get the switch and led, so I quickly painted the faceplate which covers the annoying hole :D judging by some Youtubes, the tone stack bypass is a useful thing.

Anyway, the octave fuzz sounded great, but this is on another level, the sound is insane with a surprising vintage character, it sounds really old in the best possible way. Its also quite flexible, a definite keeper

Next on the desk is their take on a reverb, and rehousing the octave fuzz.

ooh that looks lovely!
