I am involved in the concerts and will be improvising a bit on Syd Barrett's rare pieces...
On Sunday the homage for Paul Méfano will be his requiem, my friend died this morning after a longer suffering...

sorry to hear about your friend

why so much syd? i know hes awesome, but whats the connection/reason for basically a syd festival?
would be interested except for the whole pandenic/travelling business.
hope there will be video/audio

Its only two days Syd. If you‘d hear it you‘d know...
One concert is dedicated to my friend...
We have setup an acousmonium with 16 speakers, and the second weekend is focussing on electroacoustic music played back to that acousmonium...
But there is also video and dance involved.
And yes we are going to record in ambisonics format and will have a binaural version of it...

like i said, no issue with a syd festival in its entirety as far as im concerned, just wondered if there was some connection i didnt know of.

ill look forward to whatever is shared, it does sound like my kind of gig.
