Exponential Audio: R2

Simple Concept is really cool wee toy.
Great for moments of lack of inspiration.
It's not just preset player. It has possibility of randomization which makes it great tool to create something unexpected. It's especially useful for those of us who know our synths in and out and we follow the same old patchways to create new sounds.
It will get updates btw. Not sure if free version from Novation will get those tho.

The only things I've made use of from the Focusright Collective since they introduced it is, just two plugins. That being the Addictive Grand Piano and the Sigmund D16 Delay/FX plugin, everything before and since then has been just crap, or worse, buggy unstable crap. Then there is plugin's that are just so tiny, that they are unusable because they don't scale.

Yeah, totally agree.

Exponential Audio's R2 is such a piece of s**t.

Indeed lol. For me the best giveaway was Eventide 2016 which got me the update to the latest version for peanuts. That reverb is indispensible to me. I guess you just can't please all of the people, all of the time. My dear old dad used to say 'never look a gift horse in the mouth.'

I'm confused. I think nathanj was kidding? I mean... he's gotta be kidding... because, R2 was the best giveaway they had really. Quality reverb.

Post

Yes I know he was kidding :)

R2 is great and so is Eventide 2016 room and so are the Audiothing and Audiority give aways and loads too numerous to mention.

I thought Flux Studio Session Analyzer was pretty badass. I don't use it that often but it's nice to be able to use my laptop as a second screen with it. It displays a ton of information on it and also makes look like I know what I'm doing :hihi: .

Is it still possible to buy an upgrade to SP2016 out of interest?

Post

Agreeing with SP2016. I was just relistening to one track I made this year, and thought - "wow, what a great vocal reverb, what is it?". Turned out it was, in fact, SP2016. :tu:

I especially enjoy the proximity effect. Should be part of every reverb, I think (as well as a ducker).

Just to answer my own questions for those interested, with the current sale, you can indeed crossgrade for $39 USD: https://www.eventideaudio.com/products/ ... 016-reverb

SP2016 definitely a great reverb, hard to believe how much the eventide suite costs when many
of us here were able to upgrade to it a while back, for like $80 or something. Then the upgrade
to the following version XI was $1. :D

*IIRC you could upgrade from 3 or 4 plugins, including the ones they had given
away for free.

Sry to those who missed it, that was one of the best plugin deals ever imo...

Those were the days ... watched and missed it.

Plug-in Collective’s community giveaway for September/October puts a wealth of powerful instruments and effects at the heart of your DAW. From 17th September to 18th November, Plug-in Collective members can download Reason Studios’ Reason Rack Plugin Lite for free.

This will probably become available for Novation Sound Collective members soon as they seem to be sharing each others giveaways these days.
