Make what you want to hear, that you don’t hear. It’s a long never ending road to answer that q, but that’s the artist part. Listen to a bunch of stuff and eventually you’ll be saying “damn, why doesn’t someone do this with this? Or combine this with that?” Eventually you’ll be having a bunch of those ideas. And you’ll go “well, someone’s gotta do it” and off you go.

More advice than a straight answer. But if you make music that you truly love, regardless of genre, people will eat it up. Cause there’s nothing more attractive than a person who’s a natural and stands out.

Also, basically yeah any drop based/loop based music is hot. Incorporating acoustic/live instruments is hot. We live in a dance music era, where tightness and grid like structure is what the modern ear is conditioned for.
