Meters freezing

Hi Everyone
I am having a weird issue.
I have Axon 2 from Audio Damage (latest version).
Using Reaper, I create a new project, add one track, add Axon 2 FX to track and press play.
I can hear sounds (as expected) but the mixer meters are frozen (or update once every few seconds) and the playhead doesn’t move.
Press space again to stop playback and try to change the mixer faders (either master channel or the Axon 2 track channel) and there is a 2-3 second delay before the screen is updated.
My audio device is an RME Babyface. My computer is a 2010 Mac Pro (2 x 6-core 2.66GHz Xeon, 48 Gb memory) running Windows 10 2004 in bootcamp. I have updated the RME Babyface to the latest drivers.
I have tried Axon 2 as both VST2 and VST3.
I have reinstalled Axon 2. I have reinstalled Reaper 6.
I do NOT think that this is a Reaper issue – similar things happen in Studio One 4 and Cubase 10 on the same machine.
But I can’t figure out what’s going on. I have even tried (for testing) the sound audio card of my monitor – still with the same results.
Any ideas at all will be very appreciated!
I really do not want to have to reinstall Windows if possible.
Thanks

Hi
Update:
So, I bit the bullet and did a full Windows reinstall. It took a while ☹
On this clean, freshly installed machine, I installed just the RME Babyface drivers, Reaper 6 and Axon 2.
Arrgghh! Still the same problem!
I installed Studio One 4 and Cubase 10 – again the same problem: meters and project cursor (playhead) not updating often or at all.
I googled Axon 2 – no one else seems to be having any issues.
So, I started to play around:
Reaper 6 – if I don’t have the Axon 2 window open, all works as expected.
Cubase 10 – if I don’t have the Axon 2 window open, all works as expected.
Studio One 4 - still doesn’t work even I close the Axon 2 window. No sound output.
Just thought I would post this in case anybody else was having the same issue.
Time to email Audio Damage support.

Thanks Jan
, I guess it could be the video card driver.
I haven’t ever changed the video card, and I am using the driver supplied by Apple for bootcamp.
New experiment:
2 tracks in Reaper, one with Audio Damage Tattoo, the other with Axon 2.
I press play and hear both instruments playing along.
If I open the Tattoo VST window, no problem.
If I open the Axon 2 VST window, all meters stop working.
Close the Axon 2 VST window, all meters start working again!

Hi again
Update:
Checked through my backups and found an older version of Axon 2 - version 2.0.3 (latest version is 2.1.3)
Installed the older version and everything is running properly!
So, I will use this for now. I sent another email to Audio Damage with this updated information.
