No, I was wrong, it works. If you have no chord selected, or a chord which is not included in the rule, no suggestions are displayed. This is not a bug.

Yes, the Chord List tab of the Chord Selector window (sorry).

This is currently a 17 x 10 (+ 2) set of chord boxes. Other than making it wider and shorter in a fixed way, perhaps the matrix could reconfigure itself when the user drags a resizing corner.

The most flexible, I suppose, would be a reconfigurable matrix that can be locked/unlocked.

Hey Steve, on the Chord Selector, you can also choose for the Pallet -> Layout drop down -> Use Smaller Chord Buttons

Great tip! That's a real nice set of display options for the Palette tab.

Maybe at some point the same or similar choices could be made available for the Chord List tab.

I must say, RC provides a wealth of excellent ways to get at chord choice!!

I am sorry, I think you have already sent me info about this earlier. I remember I have tried this in the past, but I checked this again today, and I don't understand something: it is not possible to use envelopes in the Idea Tool, because they are reset each time you press 'Generate'.
Can you send me steps to reproduce this bug?

Try and use the envelopes in the Idea Tool but put it on (add new part) and your see that it only works on the first part and not after, so if you do say 6 parts, it only works on part number 1.

Can you fix it so it works every time you hit the generator .

Hello Attila!
Two small suggestions ..
1. When I hover the mouse over a scale in the master track, I can see a pop-up help with the names of the scale notes. Excellent ! And when I select an alternative scale for this phrase in the phrase inspector and see it above the phrase in the composition, then I would also like to see the names of notes of this scale in the pop-up help. This is especially useful when using an unfamiliar or exotic scale for a phrase.
2. We have already talked about how to individually on/off variations and controllers on the head of the track .. Perhaps it is already possible to do this?
And I would also like to know why the following is happening ..
When I change the value of the slider i.e. I move the slider with the mouse (for example, the variation slider), then I hear the result not when the values change, but when I release the pressed finger from the mouse ..
I would also like to have a lock on the track that will not allow making any changes to the track and modify the lock on the phrase, which does not allow changing the scale so that it can block the phrase from any changes. Of course, I remember that there is History and Track Templates, but having locks is faster and more convenient.Thank you.

Oops, I removed handling these keys accidentally...
The fix will be in beta46, because I have already built beta45 yesterday (will post it shortly).

RapidComposer v3.9b45 is available!

Improvements:

Chord Selector reworked with lots of cosmetic changes, using vector graphics
'Layout' menu added to Chord List and Chord Degrees to offer smaller chord buttons
Chord List rearranges chords based on the width
Small fix for 'color by common notes'
[macOS] AU plug-in does not create a MIDI port by default; you need to enable creation of a MIDI port in Settings / Miscellaneous / 'RapidComposer VST/VST3/AU'
