Lindell dropped their own version about a week back, the Channel 80.
https://www.plugin-alliance.com/en/prod ... eries.html
It’s an entire channel strip, though. It has switchable 1073/84 eq circuit, the compressor has a conveniently built in sidechain the Nuke feature of their multiband 354.

Is Scheps 73 worth getting? Or there is a better alternative worth considering given Scheps 73 is available cheaply for $28 at Best Service?

UAD 1073,LSR Audio/Lindell Channel 80,Sknote Marconi,Sonimus Burnley73.these are the only ones i would say are worth bothering with ITB
There's also Nebula, but i am assuming we are talking about algorithmic models here

Okay, thanks for the suggestions. I did come across Lindell Channel 80 Series, but I can only afford it if it goes on sale for < $50.TIMT wrote: Thu Sep 24, 2020 7:29 am UAD 1073,LSR Audio/Lindell Channel 80,Sknote Marconi,Sonimus Burnley73.these are the only ones i would say are worth bothering with ITB

The others seem to be expensive and/or their UI doesn't appeal me much. A decent UI is important for me.

The Lindell Channel 80 does not seem to have the mid-side mode, or did I overlook it? Just watching some videos right now and haven't demoed it yet.

MTurbo EQ is a serious DSP Alternative.
But consider a Comparison to Acustica Gold (on Sale, too).
I decided against all DSP Models. The Differences are not worth mentioning imO.

Thank you. Acustica and Melda are a big no for me. Can't explain why.GRUMP wrote: Thu Sep 24, 2020 10:44 amYou can Lindell on Sale for 20 @PA.LoveEnigma18 wrote: Thu Sep 24, 2020 8:56 amOkay, thanks for the suggestions. I think my only choices are Scheps 73 and Lindell Channel 80 Series now. Guess I need to demo them now. I am not really looking for a super-realistic emulation / hardware sound.
Arturia 1973 Pre also sounds decent and has the mid-side mode like in Scheps 73, but I don't think it will be on 50% off sale again anytime soon.

Did you check Analog Obsession already. Some of his EQs sound really nice for DSPs ...

Thanks guys.
@GRUMP: Haha, indeed.
Never tried Analog Obsession plugins, but have seen them referred here. But looks like they are only available via Patreon now.
@The Noodlist: TDR one looks good, will check it out.

You can get Scheps if the GUI matters that much to you,but i'd assume that somebody wanted a 1073 model because it sounds and behaves somewhat like a
1073.Scheps73 doesn't.in fact,Waves in general are the last place i would look if i was looking for analog modelled plugins
Lindell 80 will go on sale for about 30euros.its happened twice or so since its release,so it will happen again
Burnley is only 40euros last i checked
Sknote Marconi is 30dollars and it sounds a shit load better than Scheps73
Melda TurboEQ ........Meldas plugins are as cookie cutter as it gets as far as i am concerned and have nothing to do with analog emulation beyond providing some basic building blocks to roll your own within the limits of what they do.which isn't much.they are great for their flexibility in the modulations, but he's the last place i would look for preamp emulation.he's also vehemently against the idea of it mattering in multiple facets anyways
