As other folk have mentioned, there's definitely no substitute for appropriate source sounds. But there are some tools I use that seem to round off edgy sounds in a sort of pleasant "analogue" way -

Klanghelm IVGI2 - great subtle saturation, preserve's the character of a sound at lower settings and helps to blend stuff into a mix. Also free!

Plugin Alliance Shadow Hills (original not class A) - 3 degrees of saturation with the output transformers

Fuse Audio VPRE-2C - gets very warm at more extreme settings

Izotope Neutron Exciter - on "warm" setting, usually just on the upper mids and above. My new favourite!

OK, see what youre looking for. With those plugins and good processing you could have arrived at the sound you like but again, i dont have your ears. What you are looking for is PSP VintageWarmer 2. hope it helps you

You spend few thousand euros for something easily could be achieved with Synth1,right EQ and tape saturation - download 'Dark Matter' trilogy and if sound work for you consider using 'Alien Invasion' for Sylenth1 it's modern analog,virus like sound

If have right presets it's more easy to achieve desired sound.Cheers

Ok time for self advertising again as answer to the thumb down - No fx of any kind on tracks,pure sound from 'Alien Invasion' - combine it with 'Dark Matter' and your sound is like hardware unit(if not better):

To the point of the topic- if need fat analogish sound with cakewalk easy through pro channel - tape saturation,eq and compression, these three are better than most vst,it's different technology i guess or just better made :)crz:)

Can you mister explain to the audience what's the difference when somebody speak about his stuff,some free other not so and other guy who advertise third party plugin,which is shiling in that case,cause i'm kind of honest person and self advertising artist

I agree that the OP was lost in a labyrinth of his own making, for sure....

but that said, re: making soft-synths have some extra warmth and oomph:
I started running my soft-synths into either U-He Satin (vintage mode, pushing the input up generously) or Soundtoys Sie-Q (slight boost to lows and highs, and then, most importantly, hit the Drive knob for at least +2db) and well, I've never looked back....Saturation is the closest thing to 'instant magic' in the synth processing world, afaic.

What is your list of top 3 fat analog-like processing vsts for synths (electronic music)?
