I’ve never used a physical Pultec EQ, but NobleQ sounded the smoothest out of all the ones I’ve tried. Haven’t tried Black Rooster yet, though.

Probably. I found it in EQ > passive :/ Nice Clean deep Sound in the End. Tried it against AA Purple and was surprised once again.

Tube, colorizing etc. seem to be really not for me. Saved big in the End

Have an other one from Ignite and will check PTE out later.

I must admit that I didn´t check everything out back then. It´s simply too much. But right - the Overtone is the CM Version. And it sounds pretty digital. Unnatural Deep. Deep Blue. Perfect for Synth Design (that´s me!) - although I ended up with a Combi of PTH-A + Erin. Mist colored Mountains here - just waiting for the purple Rain

Ignite PTEq-X and Analog Obsession Rare/Rare SE are nice, too.

Lindell is present as CM Version already - and doesn´t seem of additonal Value atM. But I´ll maybe demo it. Maybe. Or better not. Oh no

I have demoed both PEX500 and SPL Passeq for 6 Minutes. PEX immediately disappered from my HD and I surprisingly found the PassEQ in my Shopping Cart where it coupled with a 20$ Voucher.

PassEQ recommended for both heavy Low- and silky High End. MF/LMF brought impressing Results here.

Since I left the UAD platform I'm still looking for a good Pultec emulation. Maybe the newer Softube Tube-Tech MK2?

Softtube is without the saturation and volume boost of the uad (legacy) one. I was in the same situation. right before I sold my apollo I managed to replicate the UAD one with Ozone Exciter (tube saturation with 4,2% amount and +2db output) and the vintage eq which actually has insanly good pultec curves.

someone pointed it out it this thread earlier and I tried it out. Its juuuuust a little bit saturation barely noticable but I think they modelled it like that on purpose - like Izotope who explicit suggest their exciter module for the saturation so I tried that as well and it worked flawlessly

Logic "Tube EQ" vs any other pultec emulation
