Indeed. Thanks
Odd because when I had the month trial of the 808 I was able to get all the sounds for it to try them too.

The Xsolla payment system they use for Roland Cloud is such trash. I had an expired card in my account. It kept trying to charge the card but I never received an email that there was a problem. Go in by chance and see it so put another card in thats current. System never tries to charge the new card on file and just cancels my subscription. Yay for Xsolla.

Don't they offer Paypal?

Post

Don’t know. I don’t do business with PayPal.

Edit: they do. But I still dont do business with PayPal ;)

Well... you see how "good" the alternatives are. :)

This is literally the first time I’ve used a service like this where you can’t just put in a new card and have the system use it moving forward ;)

Until very recently they were running a cloud service that couldn’t handle a change of email address.

Are you safe?

Yeah but an email address change doesn’t make you money, credit card updates do ;)

i really gave it a shot and installed the roland cloud manager on the free account. ive installed zenology to just spent some time noodling around with it.
but hell...there wasnt any f**king preset to test anything. :D

really roland, ive tried hard to find something to like and the recent events made it happen that at least i did no more ask "wtf is zenology? can i eat it?" after visiting your cloud subscription website informations. now i got one and i really liked it. zenolgoy, sounds good enough, lets try.
how could i even HOPE, that dear roland is tryin to please a pre-ready-to-pay-first-time-roland-customer with something like a little teaser-sandwich...

so it ended like its meant to be. almost, i have to say, cause for the sake of the old memories of roland sounds, i havent uninstalled that empty shell of a shop immidiately, but just deactivated all services and autostarts. until some marketing wank decides to let more happen than "hey lets lure them into our install-the-manager trap. maybe we can milk out at least 30bucks a year afterways, njahahahaaa".

no thx roland

Hi, the.new.me. Brian from Roland Cloud here. I can check on that for you. I'll connect with a PM. Thanks for letting me know!

Zenology Pro is amazing. I view it as an enhanced replacement of my Ingetra7 (which I sold some time ago).

However, there is one major disappointment: When you select more than one partial alot of settings don't change for all partials in pro edit mode. In visual edit mode it seems to not work at all.

Also the utility button also lacks an Initialize option! :o

I think they should stop that cloud thing and simply release their plugins like others do ... :D

Does Zenology have the super natural sounds of the integra 7?

I don't know bill45 but I think not. I have not yet installed any expansion tho. But the VA mode is more complex, you can bend the waveforms, you can use VA on all 4 partials, mix it with all pcm waves and you can select waves from all srx expansions and not just 4, there are more filter options and I think the basic sound is slightly better. The base sound is also different compared to the XV 5080 plugin. It's more weighty and creamy. Not drastically but clearly audible. (I used hofa blind test to not fool myself) I can't describe it with words properly.

But I found a couple of patches that sound very different to the XV 5080 plugin. For example 101 - Sitar. It's programed differently. The waveforms themselves sound the same.

But for example Koto A is not the same waveform in both units. Can you comment this Brian.McClelland ?

They probably would if the majority canceled the cloud service. It's all about supply and demand.
