Quick feedback for anyone waiting on GR6.
Its very good.
If GR6 represents the new 'framework' for NI stuff we are in for a treat, the graphics are lovely, pin sharp and fully scalable.
The browser is a joy - hopefully this will be on Machine X soon!
The new amps sound great, even the old stuff seems to sound better! I use Helix normally, the new Amps sound just as good as Helix to me in my very limited testing- I would use them.
Obviously there are some world class fx in the racks now (all the softube stuff etc) and the pre-sets are very good and there are a lot of them.
Interesting in the 'input' section of the browser (filter pre-sets based on the input type) it has synths, fx, drums, etc - Obviously we all know GR is for a lot more than Guitars but they should have taken this opportunity to rename it 'FX Rig' or whatever, it is far better than IK FX rack in my opinion even if you don't play guitar.
A bit more...
GR6 obviously needs its own thread, but it is a superb fx processor. Being able to drop powerful LFO's and arps on anything from amp tone controls to fx make a real difference- check out 'Flair Arpeggiator ' for example, really cool.

By looking at new Super 8 V2 with the same browser as MX I'm not so sure if GR6 browser will arrive soon to both synths. It's quite strange that they could implement it in GR6 but not in Super 8.
GR6 demo is finally available - if someone want to test it.

The new (updated) 'Play' series for Kontakt are actually very good (well, to my taste!) practically Lo-Fi Glow and Cloud Supply, the new editing sections make them much more usable. Getting the Massive X pre-sets is also a bonus
I am not sure how much I will use Mysteria, but it did make me very, very scared!
The Noire Piano is a bit of a bonus, I hadn't read anything about it and I wasn't expecting it to be so cool- a 'particles engine' with lots of prepared and ambient type sounds - not just a bread and butter piano.
I had not realised all of this new, cool stuff was coming from another developer- galaxy Instruments http://www.galaxy-instruments.com/

In case anyone is still waiting, it looks like NI are now getting around to us lowly mortals too. My K13 update came through at 10.30am! Regular version (not K13U or CE) registered K12 on 22/09. Got an email and it was listed on my products, serials and downloads page with its own serial under the not registered tab. Just as an aside, I also received 3 separate emails (all with different codes) for the 25 euro vouchers when I registered my K12 update. Not sure if that's correct or not with the new updates, I always thought it was a single voucher (I don't think I've ever used one anyway tbh but just thought I'd throw that out there)

Guitar Rig 6 Pro
This one is quite apparent. I hope they fix this, and the other known issues, in the next update.KNOWN ISSUE Windows 10 VST/AAX only: HiDPI scaling does not work correctly which results in lower resolution graphics

I don't think they wanted the 'Massive X' delays fall out! They can fix it in the mix- I am enjoying it anywayLoveEnigma18 wrote: Fri Oct 02, 2020 1:16 pm Guitar Rig 6 Pro

Wait... so GR6 Demo is GR6 Player? Not full but limited time version like their previous demos are? Bummer! I just wasted time downloading and installing twice the same thing. NI could properly name it Player and not Guitar Rig 6 Pro Demo

Received the update this morning. Holy Moly!
Super 8 as VST will get a place in my studio, for sure. A real joy to use.
But the one that impressed me is Noire. Even without the particles engine, this one sounds really, really great.
Now I'm looking forward to give Cremona Quartet a run.

Yeah, GR6 is awesome and it will be used more often now (not a guitar player here).
Your previous detailed posts were very good. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

I also got my upgrade to K13U this morning
.
Now while downloading, I am wondering: Does Strummed Acoustic 2 include Strummed Acoustic 1? And does Sunburst Deluxe include Sunburst basic? That is, can I uninstall the base versions if I install the advanced versions? Maybe someone can help...
Have a good weekend, everyone!

Does GR6 has anything else besides new amps and updated GUI? I suppose that filters are still the same? It would be nice if they would update them with filters from e.g. Monark or Massive XSLiC wrote: Fri Oct 02, 2020 10:06 am Quick feedback for anyone waiting on GR6.
