iZotope, the assholes of audio plugin developers, at least when it comes to business models..

There aren't many developers I have purchased plugins from, a very few actually, and iZotope are definitely the worst developer I have experienced coming to over pricing and business models (upgrading/grossgrading). Not to mention there are often only one or two updates and then they leave the version as is, and set aim for the next major version.Krakatau wrote: Fri Oct 02, 2020 7:42 pmi'm not sure they.ll win the contest of the worst assholes, so far ?starflakeprj wrote: Fri Oct 02, 2020 7:33 pm iZotope, the assholes of audio plugin developers, at least when it comes to business models..

I can't think of any worse than iZotope.

...and if I hear that obnoxious "sit in the mix" phrase again I'll have to scream into a limiter...

Try a demo?
It sounds good. I might get it for $99. I wouldn’t pay more than that. It’s more a time saver vs loading up a couple eqs and reverbs in a chain

or “meticulously sampled“...everything with more than 2 round robins, 3 pitches per octave and 2 velocity layers is “meticulously sampled“.ians wrote: Sat Oct 03, 2020 1:52 pmOr 'deeply sampled' for that matter.Sampleconstruct wrote: Fri Oct 02, 2020 7:54 pm ...and if I hear that obnoxious "sit in the mix" phrase again I'll have to scream into a limiter...

i will admit i think it is over priced but ain't most plugs these days? (can't be any worse than Waves' prices in the past though lol) i also agree i hate iZotope's policies of maybe a bug fix here and there then leave a plugin so as to work on the next money making version but THAT is why businesses are in business... to make money. i will say i do like the AI unmasking though... that is to me what makes this reverb unique and a time saver. if it is by expontential audio then maybe that is why it sounds so natural like the old phoenix reverb (it was and still is pretty much my goto room algo verb) as for the price... if you are eligible for the upgrade price audiodeluxe has it discounted down an additional $10 or so ($88.98 in cart) cheers
p.s. and the cycle demand ain't that hateful
also "DeluxeBucks" (if you have any) can be deducted alongside with the Audiodeluxe discount

Shiva, making sounds and samples ain't rocket science, who needs this kind of stuff?Sampleconstruct wrote: Fri Oct 02, 2020 7:08 pm Jesus, reverberation ain't rocket science, who needs this kind of stuff?
Who needs sample packs for a VST Instrument that contains ready-to-go melodies that can't be altered?

Also "tucked in" as in "It just tucks the bass in nicely" - like frequencies are your children. This is ofcourse after you've "rolled them off".Sampleconstruct wrote: Fri Oct 02, 2020 7:54 pm ...and if I hear that obnoxious "sit in the mix" phrase again I'll have to scream into a limiter...
