I mainly record guitars, Bass & vocal, I use EZ drums and mix other peoples stuff..

I have Hive and the Air bundle, but looking for something else...maybe Omnisphere or similar, something with inspirational presets, and suggestions ?

Post

what type of music?

And what do you mean by "inspirational"?

I think it mostly depends on what you aren’t getting with Hive and the Air Bundle. Omnisphere would cover a lot. Native Instruments Komplete would cover even more. NI has a sale twice a year, and it’s worth waiting for. I waited for a sale, downloaded a free Kontakt player instrument, and was able to upgrade to Komplete 12 for around $250. UVI Falcon, Halion 6, and Vengeance’s Avenger are also pretty good “all around” workstations. U-he’s Diva might be a good fit if you need something more “analog” sounding, and it covers a lot of bases. I recommend getting on a mailing list for any of the above (and some 3rd party vendors too) and wait for the right sale to come up in the right moment. You can’t go wrong with any of the above,

This is great advice. +1 on getting NI's Komplete for covering about everything.
