they said the site would be down for maintenance and new products were coming
that doesn't necessarily mean the new products will be released at the same time as the updated site....

True, though we can remain hopeful they're not talking years away from releasing something. They did need to fix the site and its certs though, that's for sure.AnX wrote: Tue Oct 06, 2020 4:56 pm they said the site would be down for maintenance and new products were coming

Gforce? Take years to release something? That would never happen <cough>imposcar2<cough>WatchTheGuitar wrote: Tue Oct 06, 2020 5:01 pm

I think the new site, which according to the emails should go up friday or monday, depending on the '3-5' days timeline they provided, will simply announce the new products, not immediately release them.
I'm excited though, I've loved Gforce's products for many, many years and have been wondering when they'd finally have something brand new. I think their last release was what, Oddity 2? That was a long time ago...

They have come up with nice updates to VSM and additions to the Streetly Tapes libraries for M-Tron Pro. They gave away a very good set of choir patches for VSM for free when lockdown started too "The Isolation Choir".mholloway wrote: Tue Oct 06, 2020 5:02 pmGforce? Take years to release something? I thought Rolf ''vurt'' Harris had agreed to keep a low profile. Can't stay out of the limelight, can you?

I’d guess the CS80 as more likely because Dave Spiers has one in his studio and has even done an almost hour long video on how they’re put togethervurt wrote: Tue Oct 06, 2020 9:42 pm so, arp2600 is the best guess so far?

I concur that the CS80 is the most likely candidate. He's raved about his love for it on sonic-talk numerous times, and if anyone is going to do it "right" it would be Gforce (imho). I do not recall him making any reference to the arp2600 in the innumerable 'talks' I've watched, though I can't imagine him not having one at some point in his career, which has been extensive. Personally, I'd potentially be swayed to get another soft-synth, were it the arp2600.WatchTheGuitar wrote: Tue Oct 06, 2020 10:10 pmI’d guess the CS80 as more likely because Dave Spiers has one in his studio and has even done an almost hour long video on how they’re put togethervurt wrote: Tue Oct 06, 2020 9:42 pm so, arp2600 is the best guess so far?

I'm not a musician, but I've designed sounds that others use to make music. http://soundcloud.com/obsidiananvil

Well there is the quote from earlier in this thread, taken from the emails, where Dave mentions 'continuing their love for Arp' which certainly suggests the 2600.Shabdahbriah wrote: Tue Oct 06, 2020 10:28 pm

But that said, they also said products with an S so maybe we will get BOTH...
