Hi all,

Since a while my logic is acting up very strangely. when ever i try to play in some chords on my komplete midi keyboard i continuously have a 1/1.5 sec delay. the keyboard is directly plugged in my mac pro and i have put my buffer size up to 32, but still no results.

Is there someone who knows how to resolve this?

It’s been my experience that another plugin is causing the latency. If you have others running you can try disabling them one by one or use the low latency mode under Record - Low Latency Mode or add a button by customizing the display.

According to Apple a USB interface should never be set below 128 samples...

Note that Logic Low Latency mode is basically a threshold control - meaning plugins with more latency than the threshold setting will be automatically de-activated. It doesn't magically make hardware or plugins run at a lower latency than they're designed to (bummer, that's what I thought it did before investigating further).

Also be aware that Logic has had longstanding issues with Plugin Delay Compensation - last I checked it still couldn't properly handle iZotope RX plugins with thousands of samples of latency, regardless of buffer settings...resulting in both audio and automation for the tracks with those plugins getting out of sync.
