I just bought another Waldorf Rocket. I'd been thinking of getting a brand new one for ages, way back to when I had my original, second-hand one. Even after I sold that, I still looked up prices now and then and it seems they are getting rarer. That made me think Waldorf might have stopped making them so I figured it was now or never. So I got one on eBay, from a shop in Glasgow, at a good price. Shipping was only $20 (11 pounds) and it got to Sydney in 6 days, where a CD via airmail takes about three weeks. That's amazing service and it's so nice to have a Rocket back in my set-up. It sounds so freakin' good and is so easy to work with. I was an idiot to have sold the old one in the first place. This one's got very different packaging to the last one, too. Not sure why they'd do that.

Yeah, when we went to play in Germany in 2017 I took that and a Korg Minilogue to use on stage, along with a KeyStep to play it from, and it was brilliant. I only needed the Minilogue for two songs, for the rest I played all my bits with Rocket. I had the Minilogue in my check-in suitcase and the rest in my carry-on luggage. If we ever get to travel again, I'll probably take the Rocket, Trueno, Uno, KeyStep and Seaboard Block, which means absolutely everything will fit in my carry-on. Maybe my MicroMonsta as well, if there's room in the Pelican case.

That looks like loads of fun for Rosie. :D

That's assuming she can ever get it out of the packaging. (Check out this unboxing and demo video, to see what I mean by that.)

Be sure to take it out of the packaging for her, and sample it within an inch of its life, before you give it to her. :) I'm looking forward to hearing some of these sampled sounds appearing in your music in the near future. 8)

Just ordered a pair of Maestro Badenia G 8.35 D headphones. My trusty HD668Bs don't have enough isolation to deal with working from home or trying to make music when my wonderful spouse is picking a dulcimer three feet away.

(And a second pair of cans is probably not a bad idea to get more mixing/mastering perspective anyway.)

I’m thinking about getting a 19” rack setup as somewhere to relocate my ADA 8200 and add some other units down the line, but wondering if anyone knows if they make racks with ball style castors that are less likely to leave grooves in my (rented house’s) wooden floor?

I'm not a musician, but I've designed sounds that others use to make music. http://soundcloud.com/obsidiananvil

There are a fair few with castors, but was after some like these

but, think I answered my own question as I can probably buy the castors I want and fit them to just about any rack. :tu:
