Although I love the Arturia V collection I'd like them to come out with a Diva style Frankenstein's monster softsynth where you could mix and match some of the unique features of the V Collection synths. They add some of that stuff to pigments e.g. the Matrix filters, but I'd rather they didn't over-complicate the Pigments interface, my favourite thing about it is seeing just about everything either there already or just one click away.

Would be hard to compete with Diva. I like the niche they've chosen - a collection of recreations and a digital-analog hybrid (I mean, with modelled filters).WatchTheGuitar wrote: Fri Oct 09, 2020 10:21 pm Although I love the Arturia V collection I'd like them to come out with a Diva style Frankenstein's monster softsynth where you could mix and match some of the unique features of the V Collection synths. Some of the items like CMI would be impossible to "disassemble" for mixing and matching, cause it works as a whole.
Weapons of choice (subject to change):
Godin Redline, Kuassa, Fuse Audio, Audiority, Roland A-500pro, Dune, Dagger, TAL, Reaper for Rock & Synthwave pleasures; Viper and FL Studio for guilty EDM pleasures

I'd like to see Arturia go way old-school in V-Collection 8, with Theremin and Clavioline models.
Also a Moog/Bode 7702 vocoder and/or Sennheiser Vocoder VSM201.

THIS MUSIC HAS BEEN MIXED TO BE PLAYED LOUD SO TURN IT UP

Soniccouture makes some nice retro sample libraries for Kontakt. I have their Attic 2 which has a load of old synths and synth-like things e.g. Suzuki Omnichord, Logan Vocalist and Jennings Univox.jamcat wrote: Fri Oct 09, 2020 11:42 pm I'd like to see Arturia go way old-school in V-Collection 8, with Theremin and Clavioline models.

I'm hoping their Ondes Martenot recreation turns up in a sale because I understand you can now control it through MPE and even use something like the strip on a Hydrasynth to emulate the Ondes ring on a wire.

Yes! I have my eye on the Attic 2, lol. I have absolutely no reason to want it or need it. But just the idea of having those obscure, less glamorous synths that there is no chance of getting otherwise.... Really hoping for a Black Friday Sale on that sucker, as well as their Ondes and Ondioline....
Would love to see a few obscure surprises in V Collection 8.

It would be cool if they went back and re-worked the older synths in the collection. I am not sure if they updated any filters (for instance) except for the Mini V which I know they had worked on.

+1 on the JX/MKS idea. I regret selling my MKS-70.Ray Leece wrote: Fri Oct 09, 2020 6:35 pm Roland will probably act cuntsy about it.
I wish they did Roland JX with MKS module, but Persing's ass will explode if he sees someone tinker with his patches.
What really would be cool for Collection 8, is Elka Synthex, Memorymoog and Quadra. Some 25K in vintage synths.

Would love to have this for Xmas. But based on newer technology, surpassing their current synths and truly authentic sounding.Ray Leece wrote: Sat Oct 10, 2020 7:56 pm few months back Gunnar Ekornas posted on memorymoon forum he's working on 64-bit rewrite of Memorymoon synth, so that's something to look forward to.
I'm so impressed by the CPU efficiency of the Model 72, which probably the best and most detailed sounding for Modular as well. Would be awesome if Modular can be updated to becoming as CPU efficient.
Also a major update for the Modular V with the Model 72 detailed emulation dan authenticity. That would be the most scary of them all

Based on what I perceived, V-Collections come every 1,5years.
In April - December. I can only guess that this December we might see version 8.
Does anyone know, if there are any official hints about what can come for V-Collection 8?

same, but again it’ll be down to if I think the additions are worth it

As we are speaking about Arturia, they are always a joke. Skipping one version could be a good idea for more value for the money. Unfortunately I have a brain malfunction making it impossible to skip a release, but with v7 I at least managed to wait until the first 50% sale, so maybe there is hope for me...easyrider wrote: Sat Nov 07, 2020 10:03 am I’m holding out for V8 as the upgrade pricing I’ve heard from say 6 to 7 was a joke....
