Don’t own many Audiority plugins tbh, but Tube Modulator is one of my absolutely favorite plugins! Best of breed in its category.
To the next ten years!

My buddy who has UAD said this plugin is the best drive pedal he has after trying it. He will now look at buying the others

I'm struggling with this plugin using VST3 under Windows... Even if I turn the input and output levels to the minimum and the level knob almost to the minimum, the output level is so high Reaper auto-mutes immediately. Is this the desired behaviour as I've never used a plugin that does this before? I use the Audiority green reaper plugin a lot so it's not something dumb I'm doing!

Same issue here with x64 vst2 in REAPER. Just an obscene amount of noise just adding it.
Level and drive all the way down.

Hey guys, does that happens when you just load the plugin or while you are already doing something? I'm trying to replicate the issue here to understand what's going on.

Thanks,
Luca

Hi Luca,
It does it all the time the plugin is in use. This is Dr Drive using its default setting in Plugin Doctor:

drdrive-default.PNG

This is using Voxengo Span in Reaper, again, default settings with a tone generator before it at -12 I think:
drdrive-span.PNG

And this is with input and output at their minimum values:
drdrive-minimum.PNG

Hope this helps.

Ok, I've been able to get Dr Drive do the same here. On my system that's happening very randomly, but I've been able to track and fix the issue. An update will be released very soon. Sorry for the issue guys.

Awesome, thanks Luca :tu:

I always hate pointing out problems in free products as it seems I'm ungrateful but I also realise that a free product is great advertising for a company and if it has a fault, it looks bad. I have loads of Audiority plugins so I know this was an aberration and I'm looking forward to trying this.

You do a service for everyone in reporting bugs and Luca/Audiority is very much worth supporting.

Dr Drive has been updated to v1.0.1
Due to the nature of the fixed bug, update is mandatory to avoid damages to your equipment and/or your ears.

Changes:
– FIX: Random loud signal overflow on startup

You can download the update from your User Area account.

Sweet. Yeah i noticed that sort of issue when i had two instances going in Windows, Live 9 vst2 64bit. The 2nd instance of the plugin loaded onto a track suddenly just outputted high level noise (like +6 db) and no signal processing. The first instance stayed working as normal, with none of those issues.

Hopefully that update should fix it.
