Heres is one more take of the same preset, with a better video quality.
This is not a tune, just a quick preset demo jam, tweaking the filters and the FM operators' pitch.
I actually got luckier in the previous one, but this one still has good moments and a better sound.
Remote control is changing the filter envelope's attack and decay, driven by Benards mini sequencer.
If you ever try the preset, make sure that the two Benard mini sequencers are running as much of the sound's interesting
part comes from the vca envelope's attack and decay being modulated.
The Efemerizer is divided in two carriers, each with its own filter.
I join the VM preset on the Cherry Audio forum, but you will need Remote Control, PSP's bundle with Efemerizer, Benard's mini bundle and Macro CV, Marltetz's VariStep Sequencer.
I have more of those noodling presets, so i will put more on the forum, probably.
I am still amazed at how good VM sounds.

Hi friends,
Today we've released an update to DCO-106, version 1.0.17, which fixes some issues with resizing the DCO-106 plug-in in certain DAWs, as well as some minor issues with the preset browser that turned up. In addition, DCO-106 is now compatible with macOS 10.9 and above (previously it required 10.11 and above).
We've also fixed an extremely rare crash that could occur when using the arpeggiator's "hold" mode.
We'd like to thank everyone for their support! DCO-106 has been a smash success and we're so glad everyone's enjoying it. Check this space in two weeks for a glimpse of what's coming next from Cherry Audio...

@cherryDan I just ran the update and noticed that it did not pick up my custom VST2 folder from the previous install (C:\VST64) so I had to re-enter it. However, after the update ALL of my VST2s in that folder are now gone! I mean that folder is pretty much empty apart from DCO-106. It had literally hundreds of VST2s in it before the update. Any ideas?

no, but i wanted also write in the special cherry audio forum, but someone, perhaps you, or the other (...) has already post a WARNING.bob swans wrote: Tue Oct 13, 2020 9:52 amI'm trying but the form seem's to be screwedWasteLand wrote: Tue Oct 13, 2020 9:44 amcontact support immediately! thanks for the head up! i shall deinstall DCO-106... didn't buy it yet, this is big mess.. can happen of course, but completely wiping out a folder?bob swans wrote: Tue Oct 13, 2020 9:42 amSame thing here, I'm absolutely livid!!ZincT wrote: Tue Oct 13, 2020 8:44 am @cherryDan I just ran the update and noticed that it did not pick up my custom VST2 folder from the previous install (C:\VST64) so I had to re-enter it. WARNING.
but if you load DCO-106, it updates itself. and then it wipes out your VST2 folder,
it updates like voltage modular. so a bit confused, becuase ZincT, mentioned that he (she?) that i had to set the VST directory again...
the DCO-106 is within a wrapper, o the standalone version, and of course the plugin also...
bit confusing. but i gonna do no troubleshooting myself, too many VST2, but they are in 3 folders....
still
even not in trash?
wiping a folder, is a big mistake, already said, it; it can happen, but this ain't pretty.
and has everybody the same problem with DCO-106? perhaps don't try, until cherry audio comes with a report and fix etc.
EDIT: even the form is screwed? so, it must go via the forum... murphy's law??

great! (since yesterday also on GS... why not earlier, o well)bob swans wrote: Tue Oct 13, 2020 10:03 am Thanks for posting in the forum, We will have to wait and see what they say. I have warned people on GS not to install it yet.
i didn't post it, someone else, but perhaps i will quote and put a WARNING in the thread that everyone really reads...
EDIT: placed in the voltage modular thread, beginning with WARNING. perhaps it can be a very specific problem. but it can cause a lot of problems... installing all those VST2's again (never thought it could happen.... never experienced it.)
and still, it is somewhat unclear.. for me... but it happens! so WARNING.
thanks for the heads up, and good luck to the people that have experienced this!

when i have installed DCO-106, it updates itself.polac wrote: Tue Oct 13, 2020 10:26 am I uninstalled the old version just to check if the folder gets wiped here too, no problems here. Therefore the bug must be in the newer installer as it seems.
i wonder, does the problem occurs, when you install via an installer or when it update itself.
uninstalling the old version, yes a good check. that uninstalling doesn't wipe out the vst2 plugins.
perhaps you are right. but it does do self-update DCO-106, you don't have to do it manually.
but that is a different thing perhaps, and perhaps the same thing happens.
anyway, be carefull.. it is nighttime in california.... so we must wait: for a response...

Wow, glad I read this thread before applying the update. Not cool, doesn't sound like there was any UAT done if that wasn't picked up.
