Dave Spiers is sending all of us who bought their products part of his beloved CS-80 as a thank you. I just got an envelope this morning with three resistors, a brilliance slider and a leaking capacitor.

did you read the weird note that came with it?
"once everyone has their parts, we will call you all, to join together, much like voltron, to save the world"
sounds like hard work.

Oh, I dunno. I thought the round trip first-class tickets, and a weeks stay at a BnB near Daves home was a nice touch... some people are apparently holding out for pizza, though.vurt wrote: Tue Oct 13, 2020 5:39 pmdumbledog wrote: Tue Oct 13, 2020 5:32 pm Dave Spiers is sending all of us who bought their products part of his beloved CS-80 as a thank you. I'm not a musician, but I've designed sounds that others use to make music. http://soundcloud.com/obsidiananvil

Sent me a bottle of champers for my 50th, much better than bits of sinthesiser. One of the nicest people you could ever know Dave, but he's a bit of a perfectionist. Sent him some guitar bits in 2008-2009 ish for some songs. His album came out in 2019.vurt wrote: Tue Oct 13, 2020 5:39 pmdumbledog wrote: Tue Oct 13, 2020 5:32 pm Dave Spiers is sending all of us who bought their products part of his beloved CS-80 as a thank you. Nonsense, innit?
Although I pretty much stopped bothering about the departure of classic, sensible web design paradigms. Every second site is a complete mess in that regard these days.
