Yes, if you want. The 9 scales (chromatic + 8 user definable) are globally shared between modes and presets though. Each Output/Channel can have a different scale out of these - or run unquantized, of course.

(individual scales per preset etc. were just not viable)

Also note that there's always only 2 CV Inputs + Bus Gate, so you can't have fully independent S&H for each Quantizer. Clock Division etc. help for most cases I ever needed. But you need to sacrifice CV-B if you want to select scales via CV, or switch Glide on or off.

For me, the necessity of this module came about when I realized that many of my quantizers (and I have many!) run only between 0V and +5V. There's been a lot of need for octave switches and stuff, or pre-planning which range a sound source would cover. That's not an issue with CVz anymore.

Fantastic, 'Mode 1' is enough for me to justify buying this -anything else it does will just be a bonus now

What is the plan for distribution- selling direct or just through shops, taking advanced orders, any pre-order discount etc

Hahaha, no pre-order discounts this time, I'm afraid

The plan is to sell through Schneider first, make experiences, then hopefully sell through more shops over time. The timing depends on how many we sell and how many more we might need to make... demand and supply, if you will.

OK- that's the advantage of taking pre-orders I guess, you get a heads up on demand!

Please also consider Thomann, a bity more mainstream but a good Eurorack Supplier...need to get one in the UK before Brexit!

Yes it does. But as an EEPROM-preserving feature, it saves its current state whenever you don't touch it for 1 minute (and even then it only saves the changes). This should keep the EEPROM alive for a few dozen decades.

(this feature can be switched off if you don't want/need it)

This is exactly why I ended up building two O_c modules. So few quantizers work with negative voltages. I remember discussing that with Phil Gallo, in like 2010. lol
