The whole thing is quite 2005, isn’t it?

He's doing a special where if you buy Blade 1 for $75 now you get a free upgrade to v2, but man, this is the most annoying demo I've ever come across in my entire life. I've never before used a demo that reset the patch every minute, and I already found a bug where polyphonic aftertouch as a mod source acts on all voices. Sounds good, though, but between the cheezball video graphic style and demo issues... I don't really get the urge to whip out my credit card.

Were there plugins that did all this in 2005?

Don't judge this Thing by its Look (as with People), it has unique Capabilities and sounds damn spacy. And it has a musical Approach. The Sound is crucial.

Single Instances are not cheap at RP, but follow the Upgrade Paths. eXplorer 6 and Updates are free anyway.

yeah it sound good but the GUI is to "strange", take too much space.
time for me to leave KVR.Bye bye ! 03/2022 :phones:

RP synths have some unique sound for me, i dunno they remind me of 90s beginning 2000s sounds used in games, soundtacks etc. i love them for this. i dunno if it is the preset makers, the wavetables, how these are used or whatever it just sounds like that. and thats what i like those for. i dont get the heavy modern, overproduced sound and thats great, too many synths out there just trying to push the new dance music sounds.
but sadly RP still sticks too much to fiddly GUIs, i hope he will improve them and modernize those, this is what really dont need to be old school anymore..

I judge their plugs by Blue 2, Mod, Delay, Distortion all crash Pro Tools 12.3.
On both Mac and now Windows 10.

It's your choice running Pro Tools, who does that 2020??

Just kidding, it might be good, a professional DAW, but I have never used it. Though, for information, all my Rob Papen plugins are stable in Windows 10 and all my DAW's (see list in the footer). Don't know about MacOS.
Mac Mini M4 Pro | 14 Cores (10P/4E) | 48GB RAM | Studio One | Reason | Bitwig Studio | Logic Pro | FL Studio | Cubase Pro | Waveform | Reaper | Renoise | ~1000 VSTs/AUs | ~350 REs

That is bad. But who is responsible?
Legal PT? 😉

My Groove Agent also frequently crashes Cubase :|

Here’s something to report...

I’m buying it. I had some trouble with v1, but the sound was good and I like the concept. The cartoon blades are a bit too Mortal Kombat for me (could be that I just finished a UI job on Mortal Kombat before the pandemic started and I’m still a bit traumatized.) but it seems as though they’re ditching those in v2.

But what mostly clinched it for me was the customer service. I had some trouble and I sent a note and got a very quick and helpful response. It seems like the issue may be Bitwig’s auto save f’n with the demo. My other trouble was with poly aftertouch not being treated per voice, and they totally responded and assured me that it would work correctly. I don’t think I’ve ever had customer service as good as this, and I’ve not even spent a dime on it. (Though I have Blue 2 and a few of their effects plugins.)
