Dear Anyone.
I wanted an SFZ player because I was having no luck whatsoever in getting any VOLUME out of Plogue. Sound, yes, but SOOO faint you couldn't really hear it.
So I found a link for something called SFz+ by RGC Audio (it's listed on this site but they've got it under Cakewalk for some reason, someone obviously mis-listed it, it clearly says RGC Audio on the screenshot!) As it's called SFZ+, it's obviously for SFZ files as well as soundfonts but I can't make it load Piano In 162 nohow.
Help?
Yours puzzledly
Chris.

So why's it called SFZ+ if it doesn't load SFZs?

RGC Audio was a division of Cakewalk. The SFZ+ name on this synth was massively confusing from day one of its release, and created a great deal of backlash that could have been avoided, but was never "fixed" by just renaming it. If you just want to play SFZ files, get the SFZ 'player'.ulrichburke wrote: Mon Oct 19, 2020 6:33 am Dear Anyone.

Dear Shabdabriah.
Sorry to be a flamin' nuisance. I've got the SFz player now, thanks to you. I've loaded Ivy Audio's Piano in 162 into it - but I can't get any sound coming back out again! Total silence. (Might be the best thing for my compositions, but there U go!) I've downloaded the SFz Buddy too, but still no noise.
Do you have Piano in 162 and could tell me what I'm doing wrong, or anything similar? I mean I've downloaded other SFzs which work fine in it, but this is supposed to be the best piano and I can't get a squeak out of it. If it helps, it makes a TINY bit of sound in Plogue but it's totally unusably quiet and I don't know what I'm not seeing.

No worries. I'm having trouble finding a viable link to download that piano, though I know I have it stashed somewhere. and yes it is really good. My initial thought was that it IS almost 5GB in size, and you may have issues with that depending on how much RAM you have, as I don't think SFZ streams from disk, but I'm not sure. Have other SFZ's worked in it??? While I'm searching for the piano, is this the "SFZ" you got?ulrichburke wrote: Mon Oct 19, 2020 8:40 am Dear Shabdabriah.

Also, this is available in 32 and 64bit, loads SFZ, and may be more user friendly:
