2:00 to 2:20 is extremly impressing ...
Here's another clip:
Best thing is, that you can already use it. Upload a sample and transfer it into something else.

Doesn't sound anything like what I use physical modelling for then.perpetual3 wrote: Tue Oct 20, 2020 8:00 pm Turn any sound into any other sound. Piano into violin. Voice into saxophone.
I personally havent heard something that sounds comparable (or more realistic). I havent heard a physical modeling instrument that can deliver such detailed articulations. And no ... it's not playable in realtime. You have to upload a sample. If you can watch the vids again, then check out the saxophone in 2nd video and the violin in the first video.vurt wrote: Tue Oct 20, 2020 8:06 pmso as it says there "resynthesis"?perpetual3 wrote: Tue Oct 20, 2020 8:00 pm Turn any sound into any other sound. like weve had for a while?
i cant watch the vids at present, so have no idea if this is such a vast improvement on previous technologies?
is it playable or is it an offline sample conversion, then you get a sample?
Yes, maybe i should have written "multisampled insstruments are dead". But does it matter which technology delivers the most authentic sound? If you keep in mind that this is a new technology based on AI, i find the results extremly impressing.
