I have a thing with eighties music (I guess it is a guilty pleasure) and this is my best shot at the classic from the Pet Shop Boys:

As I know I am still an absolute beginner at producing (started 6 months ago) I am happy to receive your honest feedback

I'm a huge Pet Shop Boys fan, and I must say you did the boys proud on this one. Sounds like it could be the actual backing track in most spots. The only weak spot is the outro trumpet.

Thanks so much for your feedback :tu: ! And I have to agree with you on the trumpet being quite bad, still looking for a better sound and some dynamics

Very accurate cover. Are you kiddin' me? 6 months producing? It's f...ing good!

You achieved an almost perfect balanced mix.

- Bass department needs more compression.
- Solo spots: Push guitars and trumpet more into the track's depth with ping pong delay plus reverb.

Apart from that:

Keep on producing such quality stuff. You're a very good musician and talented mix engineer.
I'm a fan.

Pet shop boys are the best synth pop act ever IMO.

Thanks for your nice comments Etienne πŸ™. Some very good suggestions you are making, never done a ping pong delay so time to learn! And compression is still a difficult concept to grasp sometimes, impressive that you can hear that it needs work!
