torn between these 2 synths. Anyone with any experience with either instrument?

It would really help if you at least said what type of music you're doing and what you already have, so that we could suggest something that complements your tool-set, rather than doubles (or triples) what you got

Having said that, Spire is a staple for trance stuff, always mentioned in one breath with Sylent1, Serum and - more recently - Hive and Rapid. You might also want to look at Adam Szabo's Viper for those types of sound, but I guess I'm not helping introducing other alternatives

EDIT: I see Electra X is no longer avaiable and was replaced by Electra2.
