Hi! If you are experiencing excessive CPU usage with HalfTime, please see this earlier post: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=495523&start=33
…And if that doesn't help, please mail us on contact@cableguys.com and we'll take a closer look at this with you.

Hi everyone,
We updated HalfTime!
New for v1.1, the official “How To Use HalfTime” video and in-depth PDF manual give you the keys to unlock HalfTime’s full power. Get straight to these info-packed guides any time via the plugin’s Main Menu.
You can now blow HalfTime up from 75% to 200% with the new resizable interface. And with new Retina/HiDPI support, those iconic green-on-black graphics are now twice as sharp.
Under the hood, HalfTime has been levelled up with improved downpitching algorithms for 2x faster CPU performance.
Main changes
HalfTime costs €10 / $12. Existing users can download the update from their Cableguys account at https://www.cableguys.com/login.html

I see that the name of the installed plugin has been changed (was "HalfTime-64bit", now it is only "Halftime"). Would that be a problem regarding backwards compatibility?

Ah right, the way we phrased it can be misunderstood.. so what we meant is: The interpolation algorithm is still the same, except very minor tweaks, but we have improved it to run faster.sleepcircle wrote: Sat Oct 24, 2020 6:51 pm interesting! what's the difference between the two algorithms? like, which one were you using vs now?

Oh indeed, I must admit that I was not aware of this. That's certainly an oversight from us.. we should have kept the name, or should have made sure that the installer deletes the previous v1.0.1 "HalfTime-64bit.dll" (even though you could run both versions next to each other).adl wrote: Sat Oct 24, 2020 7:39 pm I see that the name of the installed plugin has been changed (was "HalfTime-64bit", now it is only "Halftime"). So please delete the previous "HalfTime-64bit.dll" manually from your 64bit-VST folder. DAWs recognize plugins by their unique ID first (which remained unchanged), and only if there's more than one plugin with the same unique ID they also consider the file path. So if you delete the "HalfTime-64bit.dll" and open an old project, it'll use the new "HalfTime.dll".

This is now fixed. I've just updated the installer to remove "HalfTime-64.dll" if it exists. Thanks again for letting us know about this - much appreciated!Jakob / Cableguys wrote: Sat Oct 24, 2020 8:01 pmOh indeed, I must admit that I was not aware of this.
