Mmmh... nope. :)

The closest pattern based workflow that I've found so far is with NI Maschine. Needs hardware though..

Hi

I have used most host programs at one point or another - when I was using Orion (also Energy XT & later V2) they both came to a demise - after quite some re demoing of all the usual suspects I found that Mixcraft https://acoustica.com/mixcraft was the most intuitive to use by far.
As a lot (all?) of host's progress so does the complexity and they mostly get to a point of being almost unusable for a 'new starter' to get to grips with.
In Orion you could get going pretty painlessly - same with Mixcraft - most other host's these days will just be a PITA until you have put in the hours of learning.
Don't get me wrong modern day music production can be a very complex thing and most hosts reflect this in their depth - unfortunately they have been so RIGIDLY designed that they would mostly need a rewrite to be re presented in a workable and easy to access way.
Oh, one other I demoed a while back that was not too painful to get something going was Bitwig.

Try them all then buy them all like the rest of us :hihi:

MuLab is the closest and also deep in modularity as it can actually create self contained devices and then use them, with the addition of the MUX, in other DAWs.
I still have Orion and it was a beauty for those times and then moved to MuLab (energyXt was fun as well but.... gone)
Now I use Live too and tried BWS which it’s still no there yet (for me) and the following it’s becoming worse then the Reaper gang and I can tell you it’s a turn off attitude.
Joe from MuLab at least is always there to interact with the user like no other rather than a blind group of salesman pushing their temporary love story.

Check it out for yourself.
MuLab will soon get back (sort of) to clip launching.
MuLab-Reaper of course :D
