Anyone else leave Cubase for Ableton?

I recently purchased Ableton Intro for liver performance, but loved it so much I went and bought standard. Now that I have the workflow of Ableton down (somewhat) I may just ditch Cubase altogether.
Cubase just feels so...clunky, and convoluted. I know it's often referred to as a very "deep" DAW, but I feel often that's an excuse for its steep learning curve...
I'll probably keep it around for mastering and such, but, has anyone else out there moved on to Ableton from Cubase?
Why?
What do you like better?
Anything you miss about Cubase?

I actually got the cross-grade deal for Cubase as an Ableton user. I like Cubase, and I will probably will keep it, but Ableton’s workflow is a lot more streamlined. It really lends itself well to mangling audio (and midi) like no other. I think you really need the Suite version to match all of the capabilities of Cubase, though. I think what drives me nuts about Cubase is that it can be really difficult to find everything. It got to be a process of elimination clicking on a button, or a tile, or at the header trying to find the correct command or edit window, or whatever. Live is set up to where it’s easier to find things. That’s why I’ve stuck with Live.

dunno in Cubase both track related channel settings and instrument can be opened/closed by shortkey and the Browse project window can give a nice overview
so I can find my things (+ with media browser/pool)
easy audio mangling that's true that needs thirty party plugins like

anyway I miss a dedicated mixer view from AL best

No, you're the first to ever do that! Please make extensive notes so that others could benefit from your trail blazing, daring steps
But more seriously - have you considered Bitwig?

different people have different needs

at least he doesn't need mixer view cheater
vs

so for Orchestral Hybrid where needs keyswitches, expressions maps and articulations etc. I also wouldn't choose AL/BW
to the @OP maybe worth to check the DAW chart and generate a weighted result list

I just left Cubase for anything that works without a dongle.
I already had Ableton and it's loads of fun

No. I use both. For serious piano roll work Cubase beat Live 1000 times. Lack of full piano roll window with more advanced tools is huge problem for me.
From the other hand unlimited number of FX in Live beats Cubase.
I can't just use one of them because each has its advantages.
And... Ableton has fast workflow bit I execute everything faster in Cubase thanks to macros and keyboard shortcuts. Eg. Automatic marking and exporting hundreds of SFX in Cubase can be ultra fast (oneexport). In Live I have to mark and export every SFX one by one - which would take me ages.

I love such threads. "Did you leave your Fiat Punto, and bought a Ferrari?".
Wonder if those newcomers all have some kind of contract with a market research company.

16 per channel. How you may not know that if you use Cubase
tbh I never had need to fill all 16 slots or to get even close to that. But it's nice to have options

Aren't these kind of topics to help in procrastination? I thought that it's the main and only purpose.

Used. Apparently I never got to so many inserts before it either crashed or I rage-quit it because of some annoying "feature"

You must be very lucky then Cubase works (almost) perfectly for me for more than 10 years. It has some quirks but crashes are very rare and always because of plugins (PA and their famous f*** up which maked their plugins unusable for around one year and Acustica Audio but their tech and optimalisation is very "special" )

My mini review...........
I like Cubase.
I like Ableton.
Logics Ok
Waveform crashes.
I try FL studio once a year for 3 minutes and then delete it.
Bitwig is strictly for Bitwig people.
Studio One does the job
Reason is so yesterday
Cakewalk is free
Mixcraft - pass
Have you tried Reaper ?
