You can but you can't RECORD them

if you want to record them you have to assign channel to specific ports, and then fiddle with channel on software instruments, since sequencer only takes ONE port as an input (Which is usually connected to SUM of all midi input)

it's soooo poorly designed and still a design choice from 1995.

There's a way without the environment:

1. Set up your 2 MIDI keyboards that both only transmit on one specific but different MIDI channel each

2. Logic > menu 'File' > project settings > Recording... > Auto demix by channel If multitrack recording

3. Create 2 Software Instrument tracks

4. Set their MIDI channels in the inspector to your MIDI keyboards accordingly

5. Load 2 instruments with different sounds

6. Record arm both tracks
