Unless you happen to be working with “duck” samples.PatchAdamz wrote: Fri Oct 30, 2020 2:24 amNot that Pigments is a duck (or lame)...SamDi wrote: Thu Oct 29, 2020 11:18 pm Yes, but with the right FX you can turn every lame duck synth into a beast.![]()

I'm still doing my first expansion for PIGMENT, I really like the synth and I've added some of my own samples.
I use some of these in different patches. When I export the expansion, the file size of the expansion increases a lot. This is normal because the samples are saved in the expansion file, but if I use the same sample in different patches, the file size also gets bigger...
Does anyone have any idea how I can change that?

I think, you can't if the samples are embedded with/in the patch.

Are those percentages per core or for the whole CPU?boriskarloff wrote: Sat Oct 24, 2020 6:03 pmO.K. lets try it this way.Examigan wrote: Sat Oct 24, 2020 5:19 pmI checked the CPU in the task manager of Windows using the standalone version. What presets did you check? Maybe I can try those out here and see what I get.boriskarloff wrote: Sat Oct 24, 2020 5:03 pmIt's quite high. The same consumption I've had with my old i7-860. My new Ryzen 9300x is about 0,5 - 0,8% with 3-4 note chord (using Reaper). Formerly I've had big problems with complex patches but everything is much smoother now.Examigan wrote: Sat Oct 24, 2020 4:21 pm Using the standalone version my CPU usage hovered around 2.5 - 3.5% (depending on the preset of course) with a 3 or 4 note chord. My new PC has an i7 10700 2.9GHz 8 core CPU.
EDIT:
After clicking on the Details tab of the Task Manager, that shows the CPU never getting above 1% for Pigments.
Presets/PADS/5th sweep (one note) - Task Manager - 1,3%
Presets/PADS/Above Sheer Beauty (three notes) - TM - 1,2%
Presets/PADS/Abyss (three notes) - TM - 1,7%
Presets/PADS/Space Pad (three notes) - TM - 1,5%
Presets/PADS/Alhambra (three notes) - TM - 1,9%

Is there really no way to set the starting phase of the Wavetable oscs when they're in Key retrigger mode?

Can you delete or overwrite all the factory patches in the full version of Pigments 2? as this is something you can't find out in the demo. I'm thinking of synths like Largo and Nave where for some strange reason you can't.

Curious to know why you did that. Don't like or want to use them? Want to make presets on your own?Arcvidean wrote: Tue Nov 17, 2020 12:12 pm I found them manually and deleted them on my computer.

OCD and don't like clutter, I'm sure they're fine presets but I enjoy programming.LoveEnigma18 wrote: Tue Nov 17, 2020 12:16 pmCurious to know why you did that. Don't like or want to use them? I understand. OCD - I feel you. But wasn't sure OCD can make you do these things too.Arcvidean wrote: Tue Nov 17, 2020 12:27 pmOCD and don't like clutter, I'm sure they're fine presets but I enjoy programming.LoveEnigma18 wrote: Tue Nov 17, 2020 12:16 pmCurious to know why you did that.
