the loading time is quite long, 40 seconds? 25 seconds on a windows laptop.. the loading time was a time (...) the double of it, i think. you use the latest version?

i mean give or take. didn't time it, feels like forever, might be 30secs.

yeah, only Amp Room and Modular suffer that from literally all my plugins, apparently they're working on it

The latest updates made it much better on my system. Also, I found that certain DAWs react better to VST2 version while others work faster with the VST3 version.

I am on Windows, so maybe they solved it on Windows platform first. I used to have trouble loading the preset browser even.

I bought the Vermona Random Rhythm which is great for this kind of "Tangerine Dream" style clicks and stuff (Thorsten Quaeschning is using the Eurorack module).
After some testing (because of a lot of DAW crashes if a project is loaded) I found out, its the Vermona module :(
Has someone a similar experience with crashes and is using the Vermona module?

Post

There seems to be a problem with the Vermona module - i can load the Vermona module into Modular only in Maschine and Komplete Kontrol. When using it in Ableton Live it crashes immediatly on load... but the Softube guys are aware of it.
I'm in contact (since May  ) with a support guy regarding to this problem but there are no news at the moment - BUT they are working on it!
Maybe they will work faster when more people contacting the support with this problem :D

Post

I had already contacted them twice. Once because of the crash of the modular while loading a project where the support had no answer.
When I knew after further testing that it was the Vermona module, I contacted the support again. Until now without an answer

Post

Installing the latest version of modular fixed the Vermona problem for me.

Version 2.5.6?
Do you used Softube Central or a individual installer?

Post

Will check version tomorrow but think so. I used central but uninstalled everything first. I am on Windows 10 and Live.

Post

latest version fixes vermona problems, but still, is unstable when adding more vermona modules...

only problem; maschine crashes on vermona module. all other daw's pretty stable, even when using vermona, don't try to load 8 vermona modules.... all reported to support, maschine crash reproduced. all other unstabiltiy issues are checked.

windows 10.

o yes, still delete the .txt files in appdata/roaming/softube, windows.

but it works better now, stable enough to make a load of patches. and the loading time is somewhat shorter.

But this This enables also openGL again? Which is known to make many problems on Windows.

no openGL problems detected, till now.. so.. in cubase pro 10.5, live 10, bitwig 3.2.8, reaper 6.15, reason 11, etc.. so i can work without crahses, with openGL. except maschine... but that is another bug, will be fixed, but when?

EDIT: if you want to turn openGL off, you can, if that is what you prefer. openGL is the default setting, but can be set globally for all softube plugins to off. if you don't want to use it.
i detect no problems with it. (on 2 systems)
