lets not turn the forum into a DJ forum. lets stick to our own original music. ty.

I'll avoid linking these to their YT videos so as to avoid creating an unwieldy post, but these would be among my favourites:

Age of Love - Age of Love
SL2 - On a ragga tip
LTJ Bukem - Horizons
Leftfield - Open Up
The Goodmen - Give It Up
Josh Wink - Higher State
Moby - Go
Prodigy - Out of Space
Utah Saints - Something Good
Oceanic - Insanity
Faithless - Insomnia
John the Dentist - Imagination
Roni Size - Brown Paper Bag
Tricky - Black Steel
Underworld - Jumbo
Chemical Brothers - Leave Home

The Orb - Little Fluffy Clouds
Primal Scream - Loaded
Massive Attack-Unfinished Sympathy
Orbital - Halcyon

(It's arguable whether the last four of those are dance tunes in the usual sense of 'dancey'... but there are some decent dance remixes of them around and they are the basis of many great 90s club gigs for me!)

Nice lyrics and an interesting Nelson Mandela speech sample... 8)

^^ a catchy commercial dance tune from the very early 1990s (when 80s clothing styles and 'upbeat' attitude still seemed to hold sway until around 91-92).

Dunno if you remember (or had in your country, if you're not in the UK) dance cd compilations such as Deep Heat and Megabass but they seemed to tap into that upbeat 89-92 commerical dance period pretty well before the scene shifted.

This one is funny, too...🤑

And from the Euro side:

Culture Beat - Mr Vain
SNAP - Rhythm is a Dancer

What I do NOT miss from the early 90ies is sitting behind my cassette recorder and radio and eagerly waiting until an interesting song comes into play, press "record" and then quite a few times they didn't even play the whole song because the (German) moderator interrupted it. :tantrum:

This is the most creative 90ies song from Luca Anzilotti and Michael Münzing...but the lead line of "The Power" is great, too, for the time...

And if it wasn't radio DJs talking over the start or end (or sometimes the middle!!) of the songs, then the tape or ghetto blaster tape recorder or radio reception interference would also often try to piss you off by ruining your perfect one-shot recording somehow!
