I already have Ableton live 9 suite, is it worth upgrading to live 10?

I thought your 9 Suite contents carry over to 10 even if you only upgrade to standard. Like Sampler, Operator, etc. I could be wrong. Personally I don't feel newly added contents such as Wavetable, Color limiter aren't attractive.

i think a lot is improved in 10, also the stability of M4L. rock solid, which is a strange experience, but after a year, i am used to it now.
under the hood, a lot of improvements. but if ableton live 9 suite works without problems, you get more push 2 integration, if you have push 2, the echo is great, even wavetable has its use. and the latest M4L version..
a difficult question to answer, what do you expect or what do you want to expect. yes, vst3 is implemented now, which in some cases has an advantage.

- antic604But more seriously - have you considered Bitwig?
Note chasing triggers, Multiple MIDI clip editing, Capture(retrospective records), Group in Groups, and M4L is much more stable
last year the BF was 25% so https://www.musicmatter.co.uk/news/able ... ack-friday maybe worth to wait it

Hard to tell. We know nothing about you, your music, workflow, setup, issues you might be having with 9.7.DJ_Hydrocele wrote: ↑Sat Oct 31, 2020 10:17 am I already have Ableton live 9 suite, is it worth upgrading to live 10?

I've had to go back to using Live9 Suite temporarily while my main computer gets repaired. I've been using 10 since it was released. So far its been a total pain ... I had forgotten just how different they are, and am noticing "missing" features. Cant wait to get back to using 10 again

Exactly. F**k the Wavetable or Echo. It's the small things that make the huge differencethecontrolcentre wrote: ↑Sat Oct 31, 2020 8:03 pm I've had to go back to using Live9 Suite temporarily while my main computer gets repaired. They finally and silently admit there is bug in included M4L Convolution effect in their beta forum. 7 and a half years boys!! I think it reached the point of getting 100000 support request email and realized there is bug

If music production is your thing, rather than just a hobby then by all means. However $230 or whatever it is is a lot of dosh imo, especially in these times.
You gotsta make the decision based on who you are and why you make music.
You can look up the comparison on the site and see nearly all the improvements are around workflow in arrangement view, if you wanna speed up things in that department then upgrade, if not then dont or at least wait till Ableton 10.2 comes. Or you can weigh up all the other things you can spend $230 on like a hooker for example or a pair of iceskates. Everything's expensive now. Went to the store to buy a phone and my legs refused to go to the counter and spend 1k. Compared to a Galaxy S20 I guess the upgrade is worth it.

That does not compute. If music is your hobby, this implies you make the money elsewhere, which then means you usually want to be on the "bleeding edge" and also can afford - pun intended - few days of getting new stuff working in your setup, if there happen to be any bugs or incompatibility.
We've discussed this several times already, but it's the hobbyist & wanna-be-producer crowds that drive DAW, plugin & preset-pack markets.

I've not mentioned Bitwig, though.
