SL2 - On a ragga tip

Oceanic - Insanity
they both came to our local club (yes, we had 1, 3 floors, a wine bar ground, 1st floor was scallies, 2 floor was alternatives of all persuasions) sl2 were cool, had a smoke with them after they had played (their one hit, not even a bside)
oceanic, never smoked with any of them but did chat with the lass for a bit, she liked my gfs hair :hihi: again, played one song!!!

the video to that is a collection of those gig type things across the country, edited together.
luckily i dont appear to have made the cut :lol:

And if it wasn't radio DJs talking over the start or end (or sometimes the middle!!) of the songs, then the tape or ghetto blaster tape recorder or radio reception interference would also often try to piss you off by ruining your perfect one-shot recording somehow! :lol:

Are you ready, ancients of Mu Mu? :D

(But you might call it "Stadium House")

(Their sarcastic KLF book about how to make a Number One hit is even more funny. It surely wasn't THAT simple.)😄

Edelweiss studied that book and then had a big hit with this crap;

I love the '90s Euro thing, and still listen to that music today. Here are a bunch of my favorites:

And then I'll throw No Good in, just because I read recently this was written to sound like the Euro stuff, but to in a way take the piss out of it... and it's awesome, one of my favorite prodigy songs (oh, and as far as "favorite '90s dance" goes, throw all the Prodigy's '90s albums in there);

Post

I wouldn't call it euro dance but this is my favorite Prodigy song... :wheee:

Post

Oh my... all those hits from my youth. :D

They claimed it but surely they did read a lot of other (more serious) books about music production, too.

This 90ies dance song from Edelweiss is even better... 🏔️

Army of Lovers around the world... 💘

Remembering The SOS Band "Just be good to me" from 1983...

Wondering that no one mentioned Norman Cook so far...

Post

Maybe someone could explain me the meaning of the sample of the DJ Johnny Dynell song from 1983 "Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty, you're listening to the boy of the big bad city, this is jam hot" :?:

A "tank fly boss", is it meant ironically because of the fast tanks or army slang :?:

And "jam nitty gritty" :?:
