I am a huge fan of multi-effects processors that have a good color or exceptional quality in hardware (Eventide, Lexicon, Kurzweil, TC Electronic, even the old Ensoniq DP/2) I have picked picked up a small handful of software plugins along the way; most of the Eventide plugins, all the Soundtoys plugins, and the Izotope plugins like MPS2 and Excalibur.

I am looking for other EXCEPTIONAL mostly multi-effects plugins, meaning there is more than one effect at any one time. I still am considering Relab VSR-S24 as an exception to that rule to replace the Reverb 4000 I sold earlier (plus I have the VSS3 plugin from the Powercore still, and yes I know VSS6.1 sounds better than VSS3) I only sold it because of TC's reputation of failing power supplies that I found out about AFTER I bought the unit. I'm also considering the Valhalla plugins as well. Outside of the small handful above, anything else I'm missing? I'm NOT interested in 'mangling/distortion' plugs.

When version 2 of Uhbik is ready, take a look at it maybe--but maybe Soundtoys has you covered there for the most part.
Excalibur can be had for $10 on sale lately.
I am waiting for Tantra 2, but I anticipate it will be nifty.
Some love Melda's MXXX (I think can be had for $500 or so, when on sale).
Audiothing's Frostbite 2 and Tritik's Krush Pro kind of fit the category (several effects options), and I like them.
I think maybe Reason Rack can be used as an effect (not sure). Oh, and Reaktor FX--if you got into the nitty gritty, you'd have so many options.
Shaperbox is on my list for this Black Friday. I have spent hours with the demo--much you can do with it.
Izotope Vocalsynth can do some weird stuff, with a number of effect options.
UVI Shade is limited to filters and modulators, but you might consider it.
Doing nothing is only fun when you have something you are supposed to do.

PSP Nitro
Old but excellent IMO
Some really good presets
Its a multi effect I think of as the poor mans Eventide but only because its cheaper

Sonic Charge Permut8
Just a classic
Nothing like it in hardware but it has that 'hardware' sound

Ha, good ol' Nitro. I did beta testing for it, and some of the presets for it at the time. It is a very cool effect.

I'll check out Permut8.

Guitar Rig
+ good to great effects on their own, some awesome even
+ great and intuitive internal modulation and modulators (LFOs, step sequencers, envelope follower, MSEG)
+ internal parallel processing incl. “DJ crossfading“ between those sets
+ internal frequency band splitting options

- despite it's name, apparently not your very best option for guitar distortion
The GAS is always greener on the other side!

I wouldn´t concebtrate on MFX, you can simply chain good VSTs.

What comes to my Mind concerning MFX is D16 Godfazer, even it´s mostly not considered for this Category.

I have hardware like Lexicon PCM81, Lexicon MPX1, Yamaha SPX900 and Rocktron Intellifex here. There's no all in one MFX software plugin can create the complex algorithms of these legendary units as we speak AFAIK. You already have iZotope/Exponential Audio Excalibur, that's the closest.

Check out the plugins from Meldaproduction.
You can buy individual ones, some of which have emulation of vintage gear while also being crazy flexible.
You can also use their MXXX "framework", which allows you to route any of them however you want.
And of course they have bundles.

This video from Benn Jordan should give you an overview

I also have a PCM81 (with dual EFX card). I also bought Italo's presets for the PCM81 to give me a huge variety of content too, which I like. Eventide and SoundToys do a good job too. Just looking for something I might have overlooked?

I'm more interested in the creative presets some of these multi effects units have that only come from having multiple effects all at the same time. Like one example, I had gotten a Yamaha SPX2000 awhile back, which has some very high quality effects in it, but it's all one effect at a time for the most part. Yawn. However, when I play with an Eventide H8000, some of the presets on that thing are things I've never heard of anywhere. Good quality, experienced preset designers go a long ways with multi effects units. Sadly there are very very few good effects designers out there it seems.

Or the People have different Targets today and the Rest of the World has to be creative.

I remember the TC Fireworx very well, but that would simply be too big Emotions for today.

And to be honest - my Chains mainly consist of Sweeteners, eqs, Balancers and so on, too.

Are you simply looking for SFX in general or can you maybe specify that? There are a lot of more specialized FX on the Market.

EDIT: Ok - it´s still produced, but was maketed differently when it came out. The Fireworx has become a Table Fireworx!°

I am not understanding what you mean the Fireworx 'would simply be too big emotions for today?' Could you restate that?

I am being specific; I'm looking for multi-effects plugins that are high quality. This is very rare with plugins and has been for years. Heck, even the Lexicon PCM plugins don't act like the PCM81 which can do multiple algorithms at once. I've at least liked that some of the Eventide plugins have more than one algorithm in the plug. I like that SoundToys has the Effects Rack that allow you to combine multiple effects (and yes, I can do that within the channel strip in Cubase as well, I'm aware. Having it all within one interface with presets already designed to work the different effects together is much preferred.)

I'm looking for things that can't be done by single effects plugins, as they have been done to death. All of my favorite hardware units out there are higher end multi-effect units; Ensoniq DP/2, Lexicon PCM81, Eventide H8000 all the way down to the H3000, Kurzweil KSP8, and TC Electronic M3000. All of these, my favorite sounds are multiple effects blocks stacked together at the same time. I would have checked out the Fireworx, but once I figured out that many of the TC Electronic units have a weak point of the power supply failing, I sold my M3000 and Reverb 4000 shortly thereafter, even though I loved both of them.
