Its just a terrible,platform, if i had know i was outbid i would have bid more, the charity would of got more, its not a whine, just pointing out how poor the site is.

I dont feel too bad, i got a Reaper licence again that i dont need, mine is already fresh, so ive donated my bit and not costs a sale to the developer, all good.

Erm i didnt wait till the last minute to bid, i overbidded, the site told me i had won, then i got an email saying i had been outbid, that is literally terrible, being told you are the highest bidder after the clock stops, for over two minutes with refreshes, then getting an email to say you havent won hahaha, yeah not terrible hahaha.

Im not saying i was ripped off, im not saying i deserve this that or the other, i was purchasing to gift anyway, im saying the site is terrible, which it is, to be clear im not unhappy, i have my third unused reaper licence from the auctions, i paid more than anybody else, its for charity, thats the point, the site is still terrible.

You should of put the MAX you were willing to pay and then if you lose you won't be so salty. If you were willing to bid more if someone else outbid you then you did not put on your max bid to begin with. Pretty simple really.

Yup. Agreed.

Place the max amount you're willing to offer and simply be okay with someone outbidding you (because you wouldn't be willing to pay more than what you offered).

I actually completely missed it this year. October has been an insane month in the midst of an insane year.

I was bidding on a few other things where I had been outbid in the last few minutes and I got outbid on the NUGEN bundle with less than a minute to spare. My bid price was actually slightly higher than what some of the other NUGEN bundles went for.

With the switch to the new auction platform, the auction dynamic for items with multiple listing has changed quite a bit. In original KVR auction, Luftrum would select the winners from the top of the list of all bids. So it would always be the highest bidders who won. In the new format you bid on every listing separately and that can result in a situation where somebody lost the auction even though the bid was actually higher than winning bids of other listings of the same item.

People usually stick with the listing they put the original bid in. The auction platform pulls you in that direction. In this new format I found it beneficial to go in with a fairly high bid very early on. That way, everybody is giving more attention to the other listings and you have less competition in the listing you made the bid for.

Maybe that's an option for next year. When he and I chated, he thought maybe that would confuse people, but for me, I think it would be better both for bidders and for the auction (more $$). Just a thought.

This option sounds cool. It will be good if it shows wether you are in the top 3 bidders (for three items) Then i guess there would be no confusion
