Voltage Modular does that too. So that may well be the copy protection method too.

I'd even pay $30 for that one... :hyper: :hyper:

With Voltage, if there's no connection, you can use your purchased device, like any others software.

It's so obviouis when you increase the resoance starting from 70 % , just one harmonic is boosted(added) a few hertz above the actual cutoff point , afaik this does not happen with any filter
Its happening with any filter that is capable of self oscillation! I mean analog filters. Why should a well modeled filter not behave the same way??? In that state it does not need any input to pull out a nice sine wave... There is no fake and no mystery...

nothing on website..... looks interesting but something that cheap, well there's always a catch....
would help if knew which of the dozens of abbreviations you are using. CP?
Copy Protection

simple serial, C/R, iLok? etc

I am well aware abouut filter resonance and self oscillating , but the resonance peak in the 4pole filter is way too narrow
, it's 1 partial from the verry beginning and how it appears and builds up is unlike anything I've heard , hard or soft .
It's also pretty strange that I can mimic this behaviour with primary stock modules+sine osc for fake resoance ( listen to the posted audio files on the previous page , good luck if you can tell which one is cherry ) .
Yes, there is also true resonance going on , which I believe in the 12pole in series ( for the 4pole) , the self oscillating is (what I think) an added sine wave .
Give me an example of analogue synth with this kind of peak

Can’t believe people are in here complaining about this thing at $25. Worse the constant hand-wringing over how close it is to a “real” 2600 which is....what exactly? If you’re that worried buy a real piece of hardware. The beautiful thing about software is bugs can be fixed, features can be modified or added, and it takes up zero physical space.

Seriously? In 2020? No polyphonic or unison at all? Any reason for such a debilitating limitation? I was interested until I read this.

EDIT: Now I'm listening to the second demo tune, Only You, having just spent the morning working on my own cover of Don't Go. Interesting coincidence.

It's a forum, not an echo chamber. If you want only a "me too!" experience, create a sub-reddit or something where you can all just sing praises for everything all day long.

As for the "realness" of the emulation.. Cherry Audio brings all the scrutiny upon themselves when they market it as "the most authentic ever!" or similar marketing slogans. When somebody makes an analogue emulation I expect it to sound and behave like analogue. This doesn't, at all.. in my opinion.

I mean, its supposed to be an emulation. Its not debilitating. Just because its 2020, not everything is supposed to have poly or unison. This synth is pretty simple to make complex patches. Even if its not a perfect emulation, those who know what they are doing, will make cool shit. Those who dont, will complain that it doesnt have poly/unison, and because of that, the plugin is now debilitating lmao

I don't give a flying f**k about patching, I'm interested in playing the f**king thing and no polyphony is a big limitation for that. They seem to have put plenty of stuff in there that wasn't in the original, so saying it's an emulation doesn't f**king cut it. Not making it polyphonic seems like a brainless move.

Even a seasoned programmer like Hrast (creator of tranzistow ) agrees that the resonant peak looks weird .

so the demo and full version are sep installers?

once is fine for registering, but not everytime

shame the dev won't clarify and puts nothing on the website

should be transparent
