Ok, so far I have found that when working in different time signatures, you have some minor work flow issues, namely initial chord lengths.
From the browser to the composition, it is geared toward a default 4/4 length, using quarter notes. To get correct chord lengths, you have to edit each chord's length, each time, or select one length that does work, if one is available.
Being that the note lengths are quarter notes, you then do a little simple math for the correct length of the phrase.. example, 12/8 would have 6 quarter notes to equal a bar. Now imagine some odd time signature.. lol, would drive me nuts..
(now, less saving the new length as a new phrase.. and you shouldn't have too) this has the potential to really slow you down..
If this could be handled by RC, it would be a major step in productivity for the user..
Other than this, I haven't found any other issues with time signatures..

Hello Attila!
Thanks for 4.08!
I always wanted to suggest .. when you drag a phrase or midi file from the browser to the workspace tracks, automatically create a new track with these phrases. Thanks.

Hi.
When I'm working with Voicings, I need to be able to see them, like so:
No problem getting there, using Ctrl-MouseWheel.
However, once there, any stray right-click makes the display infinitesimal again. This is never desirable for me, and is a recurring interruption whenever I'm working in this area.
I'd like to suggest that Ctrl-MouseWheel be the only "way in" and the only "way out", without any other gesture resetting things. Alternatively, if there -must- be another gesture to reset things, please make it defeatable in the Settings. Thanks!

Hi.
Trying to set up a E7/Bb chord (your basic tritone substitution), I find that the selection box is not wide enough for the Bb root to be displayed. I am unable to widen the box to correct this myself.

Oh, how I would like to convert my drum midi files and phrases into a percussion generator, but I never noticed before that this cannot be done)) I mean, of course, in order to modify the drum phrase with the ability to return to the original version of the phrase ..

Thanks for reinstating the "Toggle Divisions" feature!musicdevelopments wrote: Wed Nov 04, 2020 11:37 am I thought nobody used 'Toggle IntDivisions'... It was like a toy.![]()
I can put it back if there is demand for that.
Thanks,
Attila
Here are some examples for how I use it (old version of RapidComposer):

In the browser, for instruments.. Dragging an instrument to several tracks does not auto increment for multitimbral instruments. They all are set to channel 1.. Any way that you could think to build a list and keep track of channels?

I think why you can't, is because dragging to create a new track is already used by the track templates tab. You can drag an template from that tab to a blank spot and it will create a new track. So, to make that work, there has to be distinction from a template and a phrase.lulukom wrote: Thu Nov 05, 2020 6:19 pm Hello Attila!

Thank you, I distinguish the phrase and the instrument well))lulukom wrote: ↑Thu Nov 05, 2020 10:19 am

Thanks.I think why you can't, is because dragging to create a new track is already used by the instruments tab. You can drag an instrument from that tab to a blank spot and it will create a new track with that instrument on it. So, to make that work, there has to be distinction from an instrument and a phrase.
But firstly, if you drag an instrument from the browser to the workspace of tracks, then a new track with this instrument will not be created.
Secondly, for example, in my DAW Digital Performer, when you drag and drop any file (midi / audio / instrument), then a new track is created with the participation of the corresponding files and this is very convenient.
And why not drag and drop a phrase onto the workspace tracks to automatically create a new track? Sorry for my English .

yea, I had to edit my post to correct it, I was actually thinking of the templates, not the instruments. Re-read my response.. sorry about that..
