Also, so, this is kind of a big deal.. I had forgot about this issue from a long time ago, but, it resurfaced for me.. If you notice, the hamburger menu for the chord selector has play back preview options, and this seems to be the only place to change these. For a new user, looking at the settings page, would never know about these, unless they were told to look here.

So, another "In addition to making that change here" scenario … should be added to the settings page..

So I was playing with preview settings. and first off everything that I am trying is working perfectly. But, I wanted to understand a "why" this is happening.

I made a Kontact 6 VST that loads a Piano as default for the instrument. So, any time I load Kontact, anywhere and anyhow, I always start with that one instrument.

So, with that, I set my Chord Preview to Kontact, AND, I added this to the Create New Track, so, all new tracks use this VST.

Ok, so, my question is, using a blank composition as an example, when I start RC why is it creating 3 instances of Kontact?

I get one for the chord preview and one for the new track, but, no clue why the third is created. Any Ideas?

and I had to revert back to sound fonts for the preview instrument. It developed a crash when closing RC. Kind of seems like one of the VST instances became orphaned.

Ok, so far I have found that when working in different time signatures, you have some minor work flow issues, namely initial chord lengths.

Please allow me some time to fix the rest of the issues reported.

Improvements:

• Chord Generator and Arpeggiator allow flexible note selection with the new note selector
• Fixed horizontal scrollbar zooming behaviour
• Fixed: some compositions saved in v4.0b7 could not be loaded

No problem here.. what I am doing, like I said, going through every thing.. I'll post things when I find them so you can have it logged. When ever you get to them, you get to them.. simple as that

OK, this is fixed now. The chord generator adjusts its rhythm automatically based on the signature, where it is inserted to.

Ok, so far I have found that when working in different time signatures, you have some minor work flow issues, namely initial chord lengths.

From the browser to the composition, it is geared toward a default 4/4 length, using quarter notes. To get correct chord lengths, you have to edit each chord's length, each time, or select one length that does work, if one is available.

Lower scroll-bar 'zooming' weird behaviour still in v4.0b8 (see earlier post). Anyone..?

It is much better to use Ctrl+horizontal drag over the timeline for zooming...

a quick find in the Idea Tool
i am having hard time with the select/move/open the inspector with the phrases in the tracks ..
if i play the arrangement i am able to select / open the phrase inspector
after a few clicks to different time positions but if arrangement doesn't play
phrases become un-clickable ..

am i only one with this?

Hi.

Trying to set up a E7/Bb chord (your basic tritone substitution), I find that the selection box is not wide enough for the Bb root to be displayed. I am unable to widen the box to correct this myself.

Hi Attila. Low priority change request.

Any chance of vertical scrollbars on all main windows (invoked by the top tabs: Composition, Midi import etc) in the VSTi.

Example: when using midi import in the VSTi in Reaper I can't see the buttons to import as the VSTi takes a lot of real estate in the Reaper window.
