Is Stagelight any good?

I had used it for over a year and quite liked it. But I eventually ran into limitations, so moved to another DAW. For example, their built-in drums can ONLY be used using the pattern grid GUI. You can't create a MIDI track using them (it will not playback correctly). There is good cross-platform integration if you have Android and Windows. Start a project on one device and continue on the other. It is good for pattern-based sequencing. The developers are very responsive and listening. Stagelight is 'buy what you need' so I recommend double-checking what comes with the free Sam Ash version. For example, using VSTs is not part of the base product (you need to buy this option). There are several add-ons which may or may not be useful to you.
I did really enjoy it while I used it.

The problem with the drumkits is easy to address as it includes a lot of samples to engage GM compatible drumkits.
The new version is almost ready to be released.
It works pretty fast with integrated audio and almost any cheap atom tablet can hold enough plugins to face a pre production project easily or to write ideas as a sketchpad, that means a lot of musical power paying less than 200€.
It has some flaws, but it's so intuitive and easy that any idea should flow easily...

Hello! I am not sure if this is the right place to post this. If not I apologize and please direct me to the
right forum. I just found out about Stagelight yesterday and I love it especially stagelight version 2.0. I have been looking for a stripped down Daw that is not jam packed with stuff i don't use, is easy to use and solid. Stagelight is exactly all of that. I found a copy online, downloaded it and it's currently running on trial mode. I tried to buy it but it won't let me. After some research I discovered that stagelight got bought by Roland and is now zenbeats. That's my nightmare. I don't want to mess with Roland and i don't want to mess with zenbeats and all the cloud stuff and it has so much more stuff than stagelight which will distract me from actually making music. Anyways long story short would anyone sell me their license of stagelight?? I would be forever grateful.

Ha I guess if I have no other option I would have to do that. I spent a whole day learning the inside out of stagelight and it just works for me. Still holding out for hopes someone will be willing to sell me their license if they don't use it anymore.BrokenTrance wrote: Mon Apr 27, 2020 6:47 pm Buy it from Roland. Finally I can tell: Stagelight was a must for tablets. ZenBeats is just enhancing the experience.
