Apart from that, I must say the developer seems to tick all the right things (synth design decisions, marketing, pricing) in this release. That's impressive (even more if you consider that's his first commercial product, AFAIK)Halonmusic wrote: Mon Nov 09, 2020 7:07 pmseriously? not good indeed.AnX wrote: Mon Nov 09, 2020 6:58 pm one thing I'm not keen, on... you only get dev support with the pro version
free + no support, fine
but paid, even $25, and no support?
not good

What do you look for in support?
Are you talking about bug fixes? I'm obviously going to fix bugs even for people who get it for free.
Do you need help installing? Want to make a feature request? Need presets in a different download format? You can buy the pro version, subscribe, or get help from the community.
The higher paid channels give a private chat line on Discord and on the forum. I guess I'll make this more clear that it's "Premium" support

I wonder how much(or, if any?) text-to-wavetable operations can be done with the free or $25 versions? The Pro version is unlimited, so I'm wondering what the limit is.
I'm not sure how much I'd even use it, but it seems like a pretty cool feature.

Yes, the wording makes it sound like there is some text-to-wavetable operations with the free+ $25 versions. Maybe it is just written wrong or there indeed is some text-to-wavetable operations for all of the versions.Examigan wrote: Mon Nov 09, 2020 7:58 pm I wonder how much(or, if any?) text-to-wavetable operations can be done with the free or $25 versions? The main limitation is the number of times per day you can use it. TTWT uses a server that costs Matt money per word I think.Tannaliini wrote: Mon Nov 09, 2020 8:01 pmYes, the wording makes it sound like there is some text-to-wavetable operations with the free+ $25 versions. I don't know how many times it will be limited to, but that's the idea.

So that feature only works if it's connected to the net?

Yeah, the best TTS engines are only available through web servcies. But you can vocode your own samples into wavetables locally so if you have a TTS engine on your computer you can just take the output and drop it on the wavetable.
