Anyone a happy subscriber to Presonus Sphere here?
I'm demoing Studio One Pro 5 and thinking Sphere is a way to go. But there are only really two applications SO and Notion (which I have) so not sure.
On the other hand one SO update is around the same price as a yearly subscription to Sphere...

SO updates are not yearly, though. Studio One v4 came out in May 2018, and v5 in July 2020. You can also get them for 50% off if you wait a while after release. You can of course keep using your current version of Studio One without paying for the update, unlike a subscription where you lose all access the moment you stop paying.
Take a single oscillator, producing a drone. Send it to the wave shaper, altering the tone.
This can be a triangle, Sawtooth or a square. Modulate the pulse width, nobody will care

OK thanks for that. I think it's not good value if I already have Notion and am only adding SO5 then.

I use Studio one. Considering going to sphere. (It's on sale; you get 12 months for the price of 10 months until Nov 30 2020)

Remember Pinki that you have free access to other software too..

Here is a good article on pros/cons of Sphere:

Cool, thanks. I might give Sphere a go.

Do you know, a Notion score that has been using the Notion Orchestra...if I send that to Studio One, will Studio One use the Presence XT instruments to substitute the Notion Orchestra sounds?

I don't think you can beat the price. https://www.macworld.com/article/357553 ... vieww.html
