I'm pretty sure but I don't have a multitouch surface to test on.

It's probably been mentioned somewhere, but I didn't see it, so I need to ask...
Does the free version allow for drag and drop import of existing wavetables in 2048 format?
This looks super impressive BTW!

Apparently yes !mike_o wrote: Tue Nov 10, 2020 4:02 am It's probably been mentioned somewhere, but I didn't see it, so I need to ask...

But to be honest, it's so easy & quick to make your own WT in Vital. Plus, the spectral and phase distortion modules can push a single waveform so far...

I'm definitely getting the $25 version to support the developer, but hopefully there will be some better skins available down the road as this one isn't very inspiring, just like Helm's wasn't. The feature set looks super impressive compared to - and taking into account the price of - Serum or PhasePlant. I'm really digging the "new wave" of $25 plugins - DCO-106, CA2600, now Vital

it doesn't sound any more cold and digital than any of the other synths you mentioned, actually because it has some of the cleanest oscillators, it has one of the warmest sounds out of those synths. Clean digital oscillators emulate analog tone better than dirty digital oscillators, the "coldness" you associate with digital synths is digital distortion and aliasing.
but if you like any of those synths you will like Vital

Check out my website for synth/software articles reviews and presets http://databroth.com (new review every monday)
I also do experimental sound design and demos of plugins (no talking) on my youtube: https://www.youtube.com/databroth

This looks amazing! And props to Matt for trying something a bit different with the business model.
