I put off upgrading my computer for a couple of years because of that hassle. It was worth it in the end though :)

It does seem to take a day or two to get things installed, the settings right, etc. and have it feeling like your own computer, not some company's computer with really stupid defaults. (And inevitably, with a new OS version, there are some stupid defaults that you can't ever seem to shake...)

Nektar T6, Maschine Mk 3 and Adam Monitors.

May as well enjoy the time making sounds and I like the Mk3 upgrade from Mk2 Maschine.
Leave ones footprint in that of the mind not the physical world. We have screwed it over enough.

Impressive piece of gear. Doesn't work well with everything I could imagine, but has a lot of potential for general purpose. Discovering new uses every day, I'll eventually need to write some scripts.

I had a busy purchase year. I got Steinberg Wavelab and went eurorack. I got Make Noise Morphagene, Maths and Mimeophon as well as Qu-bit Nebulae 2, Instruo Arbhar, Xaoc Zadar, Disting Ex and Befaco STMix. I also got Sugar Bytes Drum Computer vst.

Finally bought enough long leads, a large folding table and a 10 way powered USB 3 hub to be able to get all the hardware off my desk, but still within an arm's reach. Very freeing.

Arranged to have a ThreeTom MS-22 dual vcf module smuggled out of the EU, as they are only sold as kits in the US. I am still not equipped very well for the DIY thing unfortunately. Also the kits sell out
super fast.

I bought my first electric guitar, handful of pedals (including three kits, loved building them) and studio monitors. The guitar was the best investment into music gear I've ever done.

Im hoping for the 2nd generation of MPE controllers to appear on the market next year.

I picked up an Analog RYTM Mk2, Digitone and Minilogue XD. The RYTM is the highlight for me, it’s a thing of beauty :)

These are the posts that really make me smile for some reason! Always interesting to hear about the "mundane" stuff that helps people get more out of their setup.

Now I just need to grow an extra arm and head!

Interesting that you have those foot pedals under your main desk. Do you use them for DAW control or are they for tracking?

MIDI guitar, the Behringer one on the right is for controlling stomp boxes in things like Guitar rig and Helix Native plus a couple of expression pedals that I can cc map to things like volume and wah toe/heel position. The yellow box on the left is a Boss GP-10
pedal which I use to connect to a Roland/Fender Strat I have which has a GK3 MIDI pickup inbuilt. It’s also got some inbuilt sounds of its own that I can use without needing to link it up to anything else.

Ordered one of these today.

It’s a Zvenx Fuzz Factory pedal mashed up by Chase Bliss Audio.
