Exactly
@ tj shredder , better to post on the cherry audio forum
The self oscilatting issue is indeed suspicious , maybe they are still faking it somehow , I wouldn't be surprised at all
Everything about this plugins just screams : incompetent coding !

Some further testing , a sine lfo of 3 hz ( three Hertz ) routed directly to the output bypassing the filter , same artifacts at the same frequencies

@cherryDan : you should send a beta invite to Gentleclockdivider.
he is really attentive to detail and I'm pretty sure he will make great reports.

According to a user on the forum the artifacts only appear when running at 44.1 Khz ( which I use )
So it's an internal sample rate problem

So much rudeness, hate and sheer arrogance, spread across multiple topics and forums against some devs here is really beyond me..gentleclockdivider wrote: Tue Nov 10, 2020 12:10 pm The self oscilatting issue is indeed suspicious , maybe they are still faking it somehow , I wouldn't be surprised at all

If you have constructive critisism which can improve the software, it is really great. But please, do it in a friendly manner. The developer keeps replying to you politely all the time and tries to deliver fast fixes.
Its over for Bitwig--CUBASE WON !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dude , if it wasn't for the criticism the bugs might still be there ( cherry dan is not a developer btw ).
There is no hate , just criticising the lack of sufficient beta testing before releasing .
The goal of reporting bugs is to make the software better which is happening right now as we speak , I could just ignore it all and delete it from my drive but I don't ..

your dad could be less c**nty, maybe you'd end up more like a man and less a mangina.
snowflakes indeed. the keyword here is "spread across multiple topics and forums against some devs".
why is it "against only some devs"? why this shit happens to only some of them? and why the crap they receive is not custom to one forum, but "multiple forums"?
thing is, when it happens everywhere, means developer's messed up, period. it's not all these people's fault, it couldn't be. and some of these devs bring this crap upon themselves, really. they welcome it.
it's not gentle divider's job as a demoer, or even worse, a customer's job, to keep discovering these bugs and reporting them. you're supposed to play and enjoy this joint. it's not a free beta test, beta testers benefit with at least a free license, while guys reporting in this thread don't benefit at all.
seriously, Cherry Audio really should provide gentle divider with a free license after all the crap he excavated from CA2600.

great comeback, well done.
not Cherry Audio, Dan's actually a decent human being, but some developers out there I'd gladly slap repeatedly with a gusto. especially the guy from a certain new amp sim suite related company. the amount of crap he generates on multiple forums is just wow.

I am so grateful for gentleclockdivider and tj shredder. When I first bought this I was feeling a bit crazy because it didn't sound right to me...and I'm reading all the ridiculous hype online. CDM.com's headline: "Cherry’s CA2600 is a perfect ARP 2600 for $25". Perfect! And all the endorsements making this sound like one of the best emulations ever. Cherry Audio did get a lot of things right. The general sound really reminds me of the Korg 2600 I've had the opportunity to play around with, and I love the GUI. But it does feel like CA are learning as they go, and a lot of things are very wrong with this. Things an experienced developer would surely have caught..? I hope all of these sound quality issues will be fixed - seems like it will be a lot of work.

So here is an example of what sounds so wrong to me, also with the recent update. I'm using the latest Logic and UAD Apollo Twin (I don't even know if that matters). The first example is at 96 kHz and the second example is at 88.2 kHz. 88.2 and 44.1 both have the ugly harmonics, while 96 and 48 sound fine.

I really appreciate independent observations about what could and should be done better. But name calling diminishes in the long run. I'm interested that developers participate at KVR Audio as close as possible.

Complaining about the sound quality of a plugin when you're running at 44.1 is like bitching about an amp because it sounds like shit on your $5 gas station earbuds.
Record in 96 or 48 (192 if you're feeling foxy), master down to 44.1 with a decent resampling algorithm afterwards. The 48 > 44.1 (or 96 > 88.1) resample is a slightly mathematically intense procedure (when it's done properly) that can eat up a fair amount of CPU cycles. If Cherry had gone that route people would be screaming because it was a CPU pig.
