This is the year of boring updates for big companies.
I'm glad. More money saved for hardware upgrades

Saw this earlier, sent it to a friend with Artist, had breakfast. Thought I'd read through the site, link is now dead.pbognar wrote: Mon Nov 09, 2020 5:48 pm This is getting exciting - note these are listed as Cubase Artist Improvments... Pro would normally have enhanced versions of these features.

Ooops...
Update: Melodyne did update yesterday, with changes for future DAWs. So it looks like it is pretty imminent.

Hmm... Yeah; maybe nothing whizz-bang, pop your eyeballs out, kind of stuff... but some well useful things for me:-
Export JobQueue - will use every day
Sampler Track improvements - will use every day
MIDI CC curves and stuff - will use every day
The other plugin things are a bit meh; 'improvements' to ARA 2.0 could be interesting in my world (SpectraLayers/Melodyne).
Prolly worth the usual £85 upgrade for me - I mean, that's one less plugin purchase I'll have to make come BF...

If it should only be these rather small improvements, it will probably be rather small in price (< 100€)
Important for me are also possible bug fixes or small changes which you will find in the changelog.

The important thing for me is stability.4damind wrote: Tue Nov 10, 2020 10:56 am If it should only be these rather small improvements, it will probably be rather small in price (< 100€)![]()

At the moment.
Importing a wav file, can crash Cubase to desktop.
Playing and changing to windows, can crash Cubase to desktop.
Changing ASIO driver, can crash Cubase to desktop.
Leaving Cubase alone, whilst I go and make a cup of tea, can crash Cubase to desktop.
10.5 is the least stable version I have ever owned and I started with VST 5 back in 2000.

There were leaks on another forum ( audiosex.pro I believe ) almost a year ago on Cubase 11 from a alpha tester. Nothing exciting

From the Korean video above at 2:45:-
Revised ARA 2.0 Support
In Cubase 10.5 a bounce of the audio event is necessary before Cubase can commit the selected event to the ARA extension, e.g. Melodyne/Spectralyers.
Bouncing the selected audio event to a new audio file/event has a lot disadvantages and can break some common workflows.
In Cubase 11 we cheanged this behaiour. So a bounce is no longer involved when committing an audio event to the selected ARA extension.
Advantages
Event Fades are preserved and can still be edited
Event Volume Envelope will be preserved and can still be edited
Pre-Record buffer will be preserved
No new audio file will be created when using an ARA extension on an audio event
Which implies stuff can be kept 'live' for longer in the production/composing process (auditioning/revising edits), before having to commit.
Not major, but (could be) a welcome change IMHO. Have to wait and see how it works out... (we know Steinberg; its always possible this will break/hamper something elsewhere..!)

I'm so very glad I sold my Cubase 10.5 last week; Looks like Steinberg has no intention to let go of the USB dongle. I'm done with that crap.
He tried to play bass.

I read this for years now. I don't think it'll be coming any time soon. Feel free to prove me wrong if Cubase 11 isn't eLicenser protected.Blaster wrote: Tue Nov 10, 2020 8:32 pmActually they do have intention to get rid of the USB dongle. maybe they`re thinking how to recycle all the ...blue usb keys...
I guess they should be responsible for sorting that out...
