Isn't that the one Auplant said contained only a text file?

I tried the VSTPlanet download, and that seems to be the case for me, too. The archived link has the goods, though.

Thank you guys!

I am gona just say thank u for uploading, nanox2, nutseq or shuttersync are really special VST´s. I am kinda late in producing, but i´ve always listened to music from early years and these sounds are waking me up like nothing. I admire creatives that make stuff like these vst´s, i always have desire for "making music" and these tools are super usefull and get me inspired to make electronic music from 90´s which i grew up listening to.

I'm not sure if this is from the past or recent but I thought it was worth a mention.

Hello Folks

Something that has been bugging me for a long time. Decided to ask here, in case someone knows...

I remember a VST instrument which I would be interested in getting again. - Unfortunately, cannot remember the name of it or who made it. But maybe with the below description, someone might be able to remember and, maybe even point me to where I can still get it...

It contained drums samples, I think it was exclusively snares.
2 windows or sections on the plugin. From one you could select the attach portion of the sound and from the other the sustain.
Essentially, allowed the combination of 2 snares to create a new sound.
As far as I remember, it was build-in samples only (could not load user samples), but I might be wrong on this.
I seem to remember the GUI was dark (maybe black or dark blue). The 2 windows on the left and right took up most of the plugin and they listed the names of the samples (same list available in both windows). In the middle, between the windows there were some buttons. I think the text was blue.

If anyone thinks they know what this plugin was called, and maybe were to find it, I would be grateful.
I have, of course, searched KVR and all other VST sources and databases I now of and did not find it.

Thanks for any help.

There is an old, but still free beta version of Helix, distributed under a BSD license
https://free4udio.tumblr.com/post/27760 ... helix-beta

The link is of course dead and the 2018 version on the archive.org servers doesn't provide the download to the free beta of Helix.
It is/was a really great Synth, could anyone search/upload this old free beta? Which version was it.
I am not sure if I got the free beta.

Hello all, Haven't been around for awhile here...

Recently dug up a tracker called the H8 Tracker...One of the earliest to use VST. it has certain cool attributes about it & I wish to pluck out tunes in it. However it only got to beta plus early VST support makes it VERY PICKY on passing VSTs (when loading a dLL it don't scan thank god). I have had a hard time coming up with Drum Synths that will work...

Had a Audionauts Fresh Killed Beats VST that worked great but it ended up being a time-out demo

Page here-

https://web.archive.org/web/20120508224 ... _audionaut

Wondered if any had any suggestions or clues on what else might work...I have gone the gauntlet trying EVERY drum VST from VSTupYou and VSTforFee and quite tired of the overlays & ads for sure...

A great deal of these synthedit ones won't pass as they crash the Tracker on deletion...It prefers real small GUIs or GUI-less plugs and GUI-less plugs integrate right into the Tracker's GUI...Plugs that are graphical are OK but they stay onscreen so have to be pushed out of the way a bit...

As a rule OLDER works better & quality seems to work...I don't seem to have too much problem with the SmartElectronix stuff & most of that stuff & the late Arguru's stardust & voyager work fine...

I'd welcome any more ideas on VSTis too...Have plenty of FX that work both GUI & GUI-less just need more instruments that are not intensive to setup...

This works both ways as I am going through old burned discs you have anything OLD you are looking for please make a wishlist...

Thanks all!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Musicus...Unfortunately it's the same time-out demo I already had...

I guess that might be all that made it out on that one...

Probably time I dive deep into the wayback machine...Maybe I'll find a perfect gem...Thanks again....

Just wanted to add I still would like any input on OLD VSTi that are GUI-less...I have tons of effects but not too many GUI-Less instruments...

I have- MDA ePiano, Piano & DX10...which are quite nice
and
NUSofting Microrock 0.5beta which works fine in H8 and is GUI-less also...

There must be more...Not looking for anyone to go to work for me just give me some VSTi names or perhaps developer names whereby I can get started searching about...

Thanks...

I have been perusing this great thread off and on for the past three years after having found some vst's that are no longer available.

This synth, Frankenstein 2 seems to be at least older than 2014, but is probably older so I guess it qualifies as old and forgotten.

And forgotten indeed, because even though the dev has a page here on kvr, this synth isn't listed.

The gui is quirky and too small but it's also one of the best I've ever seen.

You can find it here You will be a fan if you like lo-fi and experimental off-beat sounds.
