Update v1.2
We've updated Reels to version 1.2!
You can download the update from your user area.

  • Added: Tape Start Effect
  • Added: macOS 10.15 Catalina support
  • Added: Parameter Lock
  • Added: Edit Value option for Knobs
  • Added: Notification System
  • Improved: Tape Stop Algorithm, now up to 10sec
  • Improved: CPU and memory usage
  • Fixed: Echo section pitch issue when starting playback
  • Fixed: Hiss and Motor Noise bug when Echo is active

eeeerm...I just realized I wasn't affected by that bug. In my case it was the wrong choice for that empty buffer thing.... :oops:
But the update made me read the manual again.
This is a hell of a plugin, really great and fun.

Ya, I recommend this one. I have not compared it thoroughly with other tape-echo effects. I can say it has helped me especially get Lorn-like sounds out of my soft synths. And so many times I put it on a track to tame or enhance it.
Doing nothing is only fun when you have something you are supposed to do.

Carlo,

Out of curiousity I've been Googling. Similar to the MN61 the Model 402 (so far I've found four different brands) has a built-in speaker and a microphone. Wires has two switches to enable/disable the speaker and mic emulation. Do you have plans to add those to Reels as well? 8)

Unfortunately, mine didn't come with the microphone. But yeah, I could add the speaker indeed.
