Ctrl-Shift-H (Fill Track With Master Track Chords (+Join+Magnet)) does exactly that, it adds a Join Notes variation.lulukom wrote: Wed Nov 11, 2020 8:19 pm But tell me why "fills with master track chords "(H) fills the track with notes of 1/4 ,but not chords equal length to the chords of the master track?
What I did today is a small improvement: if you use 'fill track with chords' with one of the 'join' options, the division of the chord generator becomes 1/8 so that it works if you have chords on 1/8 boundary.
Thanks,
Attila

I tried this with other patterns and they all worked. I created patterns with overlapped notes, but they worked too. I have not got the rhythm "BBMON-M-2bars-Q-EE-01", only BBMON-M-2bars-Q-AA....yellukhan wrote: Thu Nov 12, 2020 10:15 am found this strange differences

If you could send me the BBMON-M-2bars-Q-EE-01.rcRHYT file, I'd be able to fix this.
Thanks!

Hi,
I know we can Ctrl-C and then Ctrl-V to duplicate a track. Still though, I advocate for a Duplicate Track item in the Track menu.
It's just such a basic item that I think any user will reflexively expect to see and be left perplexed and confused if they do not.
I'd say in general that it's good for Menus to be comprehensive, and then it is also good to allow keyboard shorcuts to be assigned to menu items (and RC is great at that!).
The weakest possibility is to require the user to have learned and memorized (forever!) a specific behavior sequence (e.g. Ctrl-C and then Ctrl-V ) without recourse if for any reason that knowledge is not instantly available in their mind.

it didn't create that Absolute lower note ..
i hope it wasn't false alarm/user error

Hi,
Consider this view of a Bm11 chord:
The notes displayed on the keyboard at upper right are different from the notes in the main area at the lower left.
Aren't these supposed to be the same? (Observation of this difference is not an isolated case.)

This is an interesting request.
I want to suggest dragging rhythm (Alt-drag phrases) and dropping it on multiple selected phrases. Select "Replace Generator Rhythm" from the menu. You can replace the rhythm in many phrase generators in one simple operation.
I realized dragging phrases as rhythm stopped working, so I fixed that in beta12 (in about an hour).
Just tried this in the latest beta version doesn't seem to be working .
Can I suggest another idea would it not be possible to have a feature inside generators that basically sync with each other so for instance if you have one apply rhythm in one generator every other generator that is opened will lock to that same rhythm.Just a simple button sync on or off

Until the variations tab in the browser returns, not yet. version 3.x you could..sj1 wrote: Thu Nov 12, 2020 10:11 am Hi,
Do I understand correctly that Variations may be currently be applied
a) to a single phrase, one phrase at a time
b) at the track level to all the phrases on a track
but not to multiple specific selected phrases at once?

It was definitely a bug in the Fingerpicking generator that I managed to fix. Thanks for reporting it!yellukhan wrote: Thu Nov 12, 2020 11:40 am here it is

BTW I am happy that you find it more usable than the previous algorithm! I am very satisfied with this one.
Thanks,
Attila

I am not sure if it will return, although it was useful in some cases.BluGenes wrote: Thu Nov 12, 2020 12:11 pmUntil the variations tab in the browser returns, not yet. version 3.x you could..sj1 wrote: Thu Nov 12, 2020 10:11 am Hi,

I changed the behaviour of the "Add" variations button. From now it adds a new variation to all selected phrases, so you can do that in the next update. I explain this in the pop-up help.

Please note, this is not true anymore. After editing, the phrase generator remains a phrase generator in v4.BluGenes wrote: Wed Nov 11, 2020 5:00 pm But, once the midi has been edited in the phrase editor, it is no longer a generator if was before the double click, e.g., you apply the changes.
EDIT: this is the consequence of the updated internal logic. Now you can edit the generated phrase, the edited notes are stored in the phrase local history, so they are not lost when you regenerate the phrase...

Yes, that would be useful. Not everyone realizes the "Duplicate Track" shortcut under Settings / Shortcuts. So just press '*' to duplicate a track.sj1 wrote: Thu Nov 12, 2020 11:24 am Hi,

Hi,
Thanks for your reply!
I get the drop1 part, but I don't get why the notes
on the left are: B C# D F#
on the right are: B D E Bb A
Shouldn't the same set of notes appear in both places?
I get this display as I use the drop-down at the left just above the displayed keyboard in the 'Edit Chord Voicing/Inversion for Bm11' pop-up. As I go thru the choices there, sometimes I see matching displays and sometimes I do not. When I select a new voicing there, should it not appear identical (immediately after I make the selection) both on the keyboard display and on the big editing grid?
